Personally I feel that they way the did the ending is not because they felt they were rushed or because of the leak, but it was Because of EA.

Think about it.

EA buys BioWare knowing they are raking in the money they are making off of Dragon Age and Mass Effect. And what does EA do with every IP it acquires? Beats the ever loving hell out of it until it is nothing but a shell of it's former self, then eventually put it out to pasture and move on. (i.e Need for Speed, Battlefield)

This is what they have begun to do with Mass Effect. EA doesn't want it to be over, so they forced BioWare to put in an ending that would allow them to continue the series after BioWare leave the IP behind. If not by BioWare themselves, but perhaps by another in-house developer.

EA also knows they they can milk the money out of people, as they are infamously known for doing. Therefore releasing tons of pieces of DLC that will force the hardcore players of the series to purchase it. As they will seek perfection, in making sure their game is a fully "complete" experience.

But what EA did not expect is how the fanbase would react to the ending of the game. The ending itself is just as bad as how Vulcan was destroyed in Star Trek (2009). If there's one thing you don't do is mess with the canon of an established franchise. And that is exactly what has been done here. Drew Karpyshyn left BioWare I bet for the same reason, because he saw what was coming and got out as quickly as possible. This series would not be where it is today without Karpyshyn, and it will never be there again without him.

I really respect Casey Hudson for handling this as well as he is. But you can only cry wolf so many times before everyone turns your back to you, and the wolves are already circling, and they want blood.

They need to come to Florida! It's too far for me tor travel to either PAX Prime, or PAX East, Orlando or Miami would be best. Do I hear a PAX South?!! XD

What I got was sadly a disgrace,

I sat and watched everyone get iPod docks, netbooks, games, and entire series of TV shows.

While I got clothes that are over one size too big for me, so it looks like i'm wearing parachutes for shirts, a big box of chocolate, (and I don't even like Chocolate), and some alarm clock that projects planets onto the celling...I'm 21! not 6!

I'm stuck with a PS2 and only two games that I have been playing for 6 years now.

And to top that off, I found out that the girl that I have loved for three years is moving away...again.

So I ask you Joystiq, please bring me some solace this holiday season, and allow me to enjoy some next gen gaming this Christmas.

I'm sick of this, why does the UK and Japan get all the good stuff, Where's our Play TV?, and our Music Unlimited service? Does Sony not think Americans would appreciate things like this? Seriously look how long It took the US to get the blasted camera, that Is now Irrelevant thanks to the PSP Go.
