I had to power-cycle from within Bomberman. That is severe. But after that it was fine. Played for a while. Still a fan of Xbox Live!

Condolences to family and friends. While they might not have been on the top of his resume, my first exposure to Mr. Heston was Omega Man, Planet of the Apes, Soylent Green, and Earthquake (all seen in the theatre during their original run). Throw Skyjacked in there too, though I only saw it on TV. My point is I loved these movies and to me, this is what I will remember Mr. Heston for. RIP.

Mel Gibson's Ransom pre-dates Cast Away by 4 years. That is one of the first trailers to give away a big twist. I've also noticed that the longer a movie is out, the more the trailers give away. Runaway Bride's trailer eventually ended with the final wedding.

As an early HD-DVD adopter, let me say I see the writing on the wall. It's over. It's Blu-ray.

Having said that, I still don't like Blu-ray. I don't like the idea of watching the Sony Pictures movie, on the Sony format disk (Blu-Ray) on my Sony player (PS3 or whatever). Sorry. I am now going to be the last Blu-ray owner in America. Enjoy.

Topic reminder: How would Blu-Ray winning the format war affect the PS3?

For me, I have never played a DVD on my PS2. So, the affect is not much.

However, I was an early HD-DVD adopter (thank GOD I only bought a couple movies), and I have negative interest, in less than 2 years, to embrace a new format. In fact, I am less likely to buy a PS3 because I'm paying for Blu-Ray. Blu won. I accept that but I am a bitter consumer. A sentiment I haven't seen expressed that much here.

Congrats to the Blu-ray fans. However, as a HD-DVD owner, I'm going to stop supporting BOTH formats as of NOW (okay, maybe when HD-DVD completely dies, I'll pick up some real cheap media).

But the end result is Blu-ray has a monopoly and no motivation to be aggresively priced. Yes, one day, many years from now, if it is the replacement for SD-DVD, I'll bite. But I'm not going to help it along for now.

And another thing, I have a 50" plasma and upconverted DVDs look great. Really.

And yes I have HD cable, too.

IMHO - What's with the Halo hatin'? Halo turned me ON to FPS. I LOVE those freakin' games! That is MY opinion. Not a reviewer. Not the sales chart. The quality and lure of the Halo universe is something I can't quite explain. Weird that I find myself defending one of the best selling/reviewed game of recent years.

I'm actually a fan of the 'content' of her shows, almost mini-cooking lessons and not just "do it this way" recipes, HOWEVER, if she suggests to poke the yokes before whisking them to save time one more time, I may scream! What a worthless suggestion. C'mon. Really.

I would enjoy me some Lost Planet.
