As per current Lucas policy they've apparently already completed the production stage which involves them finding all the ways to make this suck as much as it possibly can and how best to implement these ideas fully into what should be an outstanding game.

It's clear that his bias lies with the more 'cinematic' and storytelling experiences that games can offer - he finds it "unfortunate" that his daughter prefers Sonic and Kirby - and while he is perfectly entitled to that bias he is surely underestimating some of the masterpieces over the years - Tetris, Super Mario Bros, Total War are but a few - that don't borrow from heavily from cinema.

While it is great to see improved narrative and cinematic techniques being used in gaming I think we should be wary of these destroying the pure gameplay experience lest games lose their way and become just an extension of cinema rather than a unique medium which can do things in a wonderfully different way.

I don't know about anywhere else but when you compare the comment/login system here to Destructoid it is an absolute fucking disgrace. Those guys managed to integrate a comment system with your profile and a personal blog, all easily accessible and all working perfectly.

Here half the time I don't know if what I've posted is going to appear (or if it may do so in one minute, 5 minutes or the next day), if it is a reply I'm scared it's going to end up to someone that it wasn't intended to. Heck, I still don't know whether I can change my email address and still retain my current username.

Get it sorted guys and make it clear to your readers what is going on. I'm pretty sure that Kotaku doesn't have 3 or 4 times your readership (or at least they shouldn't) yet the commenters are about that much more active there, probably because their system isn't fucked.

Fernando: I know you've been pining for it for a while now but Super Mario RPG was released on the EU Virtual Console on Friday. Never having had the chance to play it before I understand now why you wanted it so badly. Hopefully you guys will get it soon.

They are all indeed part of one storyline, I'm not going to post it all here but http://residentevil.wikia.com/wiki/Resident_Evil_(series) is about as good and concise a summary as you could want.

The main character in Resident Evil 5 (Chris) was also one of the two playable in the first game.

There are no anthologies as far as I know but if you have a Wii/Gamecube then try and pick up at least the Resi 1 remake and whatever version of Resi 4 you want.

While everyone is talking about it a question: Is there any way I can keep my username while changing my email address. I haven't used the email address I'm registered under for about a year, I don't even think it still exists. Subsequently I have no idea what my password is (I'm relying solely on the good grace of Firefox to do that for me) and I really want to get rid of the Mario icon so I can be like all the cool kids.

Also If Maurice Edu is the biggest star you guys in the US can muster to put on the FIFA box I'm really not surprised you have no interest in the sport, from my understanding he has played maybe two or three full internationals? It's nice that EA are putting an upcoming player (who given a few years could possibly make it in the middle reaches of some of Europes better leagues) but its hardly star power.
