So this is the same Boris Johnson who was caught on telephone agreeing to supply his former schoolmate, Darius Guppy, with the address of News of the World journalist Stuart Collier, knowing full well Guppy wanted to have Collier beaten up due to his knowledge of a failed insurance fraud purportrated by Guppy?
Considering propper Mario games seem to score, on average, high 80's to high 90's, and Mortal Kombat games seem to score anywhere from high 50's to low 80's.... I'd say Mario kicked Sub-Zero's ass a LONG time ago.
The only thing that makes a difference here folks is 1) Age, and 2) Maturity.
The more console cycles you go through, the more it gets very old hat.
NES Vs. Master System SNES Vs. Genesis 3DO Vs. Atari Jagur N64 Vs. PS Vs. Saturn GCN Vs. PS2 Vs. Dreamcast Vs. XBox Wii Vs. PS3 Vs. XB360 Gameboy Vs. Gamegear Vs. Atari Lynx DS Vs. PSP
And everytime everyone picks sides and picks the console closest to their hearts and it's MINE Vs. YOURS and GODDAMNITIFMINEISNTBETTER!!!!
COS OF THE GRAFFIX AND THE BLOOD AND GUTZ AND I SHOT YOUR IN THE HEAD ROFL!!!1!
I was busy saying all that shit when the SNES came out, and you know what? In time, you grow up, and you grow out of being a fan boy. You can still retain companies/mascots/games that are close to your heart, but you can enjoy good games for being good games, regardless of which platform they're on and who published them.
1) Your console of choice "Winning" a console war is for little whiney bitches.
2) F*CK MARIO COS MORTAL KOMBAT HAS TEH GUTZ!!!1! is a little whiney bitch mantra.
3) GRAPHICS FTW!!!1! is for clearly for whiney little bitches who never enjoyed Dizzy on their Spectrum.
In Conclusion: Fanboyism is the annoying, pain in the ass equivilant of adolecnce: Being a complete pain in the ass and pissing off everyone else.
For the record, I think I should let you know of the big three, I brought a Wii over 360 and PS3, so this isn't some anti-nintendo rant :o)
There's no question that the Wii is a success and demand is high - but do you really think that nintendo is going to ramp up production when they're getting all this "highly desirable Wii still sold out after a year while PS3 sits on shelves" publicity?
I work in sales myself, and one of the oldest tricks in the book is to tell your customer someone else brought the same thing just this morning (increasing their consumer confidence and the percieved desirability of the product) and that you don't think this one will be around long cos everyone and their dog wants one ;o)
Nintendo know just where to put the choke on - juuuuust enough to convincingly obliterate opposition, while holding back enough to make sure X number of people can't walk straight into a store and purchase one when they want to, ensuring they tell their friends, and their friends tell their friends......
Guys, Nintendo are deliberatly keeping supplies artificially low to increase demand - it creates hype ("wow, still sold out?!") and increases desirability ("they just can't make them fast enough! Gots to get me one!").
Then compare that to all those PS3's & 360's sitting on the shelves (worldwide & in Japan respectively).
I might not want a cookie right now, but if someone told me I couldn't have one....
Of course, this begs the question, what if the cookies WERE readily available? Would I want one quite so much? Would the cookie makers be doing quite so well if they hadn't choked the supply?

Reggie: "250,000 Sir"
Iwata: "Ok, and how many do we need to sell there to make PS3 and 360 look
like whiney little bitches?"
Reggie: "About 6 Sir"
Iwata: "And the other 249,994 customers - will they not buy one if they can't
get one first time round?"
Reggie: "No, they'll want one twice as much, and probably buy another DS Lite
while they're waiting"
Iwata: "Reggie?"
Reggie: "Yes Sir?"
Iwata: "It's sexy time...."
Reggie: *sighs*
