In Canada, in law, it is all really quite simple. The problem, however, arises with government personnel and police as the perpetrators of myriad of these pyramid/Ponzi scheme, claiming that an "excuse for a product" is a "license" to "launder money" through a "shell corporation" and consequently they corruptly protect their illegal schemes and others through the steadfast refusal to enforce the clear provisions of section 206 (1)(e) of the Canadian Criminal Code, as regulators in the U.S. SEC & FTC refused to enforce their laws and regulations with catastrophic results.

A product does not legalize a pyramid fraud, it simply, and thinly disguises it as a "product masked pyramid scheme." I was able to prove that very hypotheses in a failed $10 million libel suit brought against me by one of Canada's most prolific pyramids fraud artists and his 24 lawyer prestigious Mississauga law firm of MLM lawyers after I cost him billions of dollars in lost "sales" (illegal recruitment fees) (incidentally about $2 billion in losses saved for U.S. citizens) by composing thousands of postings "outing him" as an international, white-collar, money laundering, crook, liar and racketeering thief and fraudulent "scum bag" to boot.

He is currently convicted of criminal negligence causing death and awaiting sentencing April 1, 2010 in the Brampton Ontario Criminal Court. That, his numerous cop friends and government personnel perpetrating and covering up his multi-million dollar frauds, were able to suppress.

What is bothersome is that our media will not reveal to the public that there was an active RCMP officer at that meeting perpetrating the fraud and that this crook has RCMP officers and police on down, government personnel, corrupt lawyers, accountants, doctors, teachers, church ministers etc, in this fraud, with meetings held in hotels, community meeting halls, churches and school campuses. Section 206 (1)(e) is quoted by the Ontario Superior Court Judge at [13] in the first link above, as he rules this "product masked pyramid scheme" is at the very least a prima facie violation of the law. The law is simple.... if proceeds from later participants are used to pay the obligations of earlier participants the law has been violated. Simple.

This decision is very useful to any blogger threaten with a libel suit for exposing a fraud artist. Many crooks have already backed off lawsuits when confronted with this decision.

Excellent article. Too bad the media in Canada doen%u2019t have the same intestial fortitude. If they did thousands of U.S. citizens would not be scammed by Canadian frauds.
