12 Days of Joyswag: Lord of the Rings: War in the North (Collector's Edition)

Dec 15th 2011 1:53AM (Joystiq)
Wait, what? Um, I have no idea...

Capcom collects SSF2 Turbo HD Remix, seven other XBLA games on disc

Dec 14th 2011 5:07PM (Joystiq)
That's... actually a pretty good deal. Most of those are either pretty good or VERY good.

Garriott talking with EA about Ultima Online 2 [update: apparently not]

Dec 14th 2011 12:08PM (Joystiq)
**** the online part. How about just a new Ultima game?

12 Days of Joyswag: Batman: Arkham City game, controller, shirt

Dec 13th 2011 9:34PM (Joystiq)
Um, no, but I did watch the movie again not long ago.

Indie Royale Xmas Bundle has Eets, Dino D-Day and more

Dec 13th 2011 12:50PM (Joystiq)
This is the first one of these (from any company) that I will not be getting. There is just nothing there for me. At all. Not to mention one of them isn't even on steam. I know it's from desura, but come on.

Dirt Showdown ditches rally for arcade-style events

Dec 12th 2011 8:52PM (Joystiq)
This is a travesty and I would love to forget that I ever saw this post now. I'll just pretend it doesn't exist and wait for Dirt 4.

Here are the winners of the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards

Dec 11th 2011 11:57AM (Joystiq)
@MarcusCalil
Yeah, I agree. Diablo III is FAR and away the most anticipated game of, well, the last 10 years or so. Close to it, at least, and without question the most right now.

Mass Effect 3?

REALLY?

Here are the winners of the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards

Dec 11th 2011 11:54AM (Joystiq)
All that needs to be said about these "awards" is that skyrim is the best game of the year but not the best on any system? Yeah, cause that makes sense... And Bastion sucks. I was suckered into buying it and regret it a lot. The narrator isn't inventive, just obscenely annoying and is no great feat in a game that linear. The game is just all around annoying and, yet again, an indie game everyone gushes over just doesn't live up (see the most pretentious game of all time: Braid).

Test Drive Unlimited 2's DLC 2 planned for February, adds bikes and new content

Dec 8th 2011 11:25PM (Joystiq)
Actually, the FIRST DLC was the day 1 casino, and cost $10. TDU is one of my favorite franchises of all time, but it is not a racing game, per se. I mean, yes, there is a lot of racing, but the true joy of the game is in simply driving. And yeah, I didn't like Grid either, which is odd, because I love the Dirt franchise.

uDraw hasn't fared so well on Xbox 360 and PS3, THQ lowers its forecast

Dec 8th 2011 10:51AM (Joystiq)
I would really love to know where the "market research indicating strong demand for uDraw on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3" was held. I'm guessing fairy land, because it sure as hell wasn't anywhere near the rational world or common sense.
