Blueray for the win! I finally got to see one in action the other day.

I'm all for people trying out iMovie 08 before the decide if its what they need or not but nothing is worse then hearing Mac users tell someone who needs iMovie HD features to just suck it up and buy Final Cut Pro. A $1, 3000 piece of software. Would any computer user here let a Window's user tell them that if they want features they miss form XP to buy Vista Ultimate? Yeah, its a very selfish remark. Some people need iMovie06. And they need it to be in their feature. Thats what has them troubled. Its better to sympathize with your fellow mac user then tell them its all over for them when the situation is in your favor.

I don't mean to be rude, I just can't understand who any consumer would think that less features, for the same price, equals better product. If video effects distracted your audience then don't use them. Better to have and not use, then want and not be there. Thats the problem the other half of iMove owners are having. We are not making videos of our cats for YouTube. We are making vacation videos, short films, ect. And iMove gave us that power.

I just find it waaaaay hypocritical that not even 2 years ago when Jobs was on stage and showing off iMovie HD, no body had anything but good things to say about the new effects, improved timeline, the editing power and ease of use. And now since its gone, Mac owners are going through this two face denial thing. 2 years ago iMove was the biggest excitement of iLife, now its like "Well, I love 08 even when it has nothing that made it so incredible in the past". Is that something to convince us or yourself? If someone truly does prefer iMove08 then more power to them, but all Apple did was gimp 08 in my opinion. They pulled a M$. Removed features that was suppose to be there so you pay more to upgrade. And I for one am not going to act like thats ok if I can embrace it enough.

I don't think anyone has a problem with change, as long as change is good. If you change to something that's less then artistically pleasing then its a bad change. The iTunes skin in my opinion, looks like a 3rd rate Shape-Shifter skin. Not what I would have really expected from Apple. Who needs something nice to separate themselves form the now all gloss and glass Vista. I don't think itunes 7 with is grey windows and black high lights is going to achieve that. Mac users, especially me, like sharp crisp colors. Not dual dark ones.

I never liked the iTunes7 look. The moment I updated I went a DLed a 1 of the several programs out there to change the look back to aqua. Aqua may not be my favorite either but it sure looks like it wasn't made in 5 mins.

Ah you guys need to relax. Its not like they are actually using hurtful terms here. I doubt M$ is going to get all buffed chested about it. besides, if M$ can get up on stage and show of OS X features as their own creations can't Apple get up on stage and say they copycat those ideas? When push comes to shove, Apple should at lest be informing people thats all Vista has been so far. A copycat.
