@LS2/L7 - sorry, I couldn't reply to your exact post because, for some reason, the Reply button wasn't there... but I want to clarify something you may be misunderstanding with my post...

I am not "confused" about anything... my exact comment was "It's not a 'lack of games' or BC" that is keeping me from buying a PS3, meaning that I am NOT worried about BC OR GAMES, which are a non-issue. There ARE games I want to play that are PS3 games and I DON'T want/need BC because I have a PS2. So, NO, I am NOT confused. My point was, I am not pleased that parts are being removed from the PS3 that were originally offered, for example, USB ports. I want more than 2 and would prefer it because you need them for things like the controller (charging). I want the card readers that were originally offered. If this is going to take over my entertainment center, which Sony WANTS, then these options are important. Countless skews that add and subtract random parts is bad, in my opinion, because I may want them all and NOT want dangling parts I've had to add on (card readers), hanging from my PS3 in my living room.

I'm allowed to be frustrated by countless skews that don't share enough in common and are leaving things out that I don't want to add later. I refuse to sit down and figure out which one gives me the most for my money and the least amount of upgrading.

This is the exact reason why I won't drop the money on a PS3. It's not a "lack of games" or BC, it's the fact that Sony doesn't seem sure about what they want in their product? This should have been figured out before the first one hit the production line. In my opinion, they're floundering and trying to figure out the best way to fix it... on the fly. They should relax, sit back and think it through THEN release a new skew and stick to it. I don't want to dive in and then find out down the road I need this discontinued part to play a certain game or that something may not work with something or that I'm short on USB, etc. As much as people complain about the Core for 360, at least you can obtain the parts needed to run a game (and i know the HDMI thing, but it's not NEEDED to run a game). It's just frustrating to be bombarded with so many choices and when you decide on one you want, it's discontinued and a gimped version is in it's place.

Also, the memory card thing does blow a little. Sure, I can use my USB drive, but if I take pics with my camera or something like that, I don't want to go to my cpu, transfer them and then take them to my PS3 (not that I'd use it for that anyway, but still). it's the fact that it was an option offered, but now you can't upgrade to it (as far as I know).

Enough whining... sorry. I want to jump in to the PS3 camp, but this crap is what keeps me at bay.

Crash Nitro Kart... just love cartoony race games!

I noticed one thing that may nag me when I play this... What's up with the head shots? When you play RE, one of the cool things is the head shot and how it's an easy kill or a major mistake (in RE4, especially!). It just seemed insane to have the zombies take hits in the head as easily as they did in the gut.

Also, the dude playing should have realized, hit a shoulder or limb to spin them and "pause" their forward momentum! Yikes!

Shelves: they're what your games sit on

Well, at this point in my gaming life, I have far too many games to stack on my TV... my wife would kill me. I have my own office in our finished basement that houses my cpu and the ridiculous amount of games/systems/shwag that I own. I use bookshelves (2), a 3-drawer filing cabinet (1), the small shelves on my desk and a few boxes. No, seriously, it's THAT bad! :\ Please, don't side with my wife on this one...

Joyswag: Win a copy of BioShock, get it overnighted (Part 2)

There has to be a reason this game wasn't picked up by all those previous companies. I mean, they all know a GOTY when they see it. :D

I like the art style they used throughout the game. Taking as many art history classes as I did in college helps me appreciate this game so much more.

I couldn't agree more. That era is one of my favorites and it's been pretty cool to see it in a video game. I can't wait to play the full version of this game!

iPhone + NES emulator = zOMG, hello Mario

Yeah, but the experience I have had with Mac is all eye candy, no POWER. We use dual G5's at work, each with 4 gigs of ram (total of 6 machines) and we have more issues with the turbine's (fans) getting insanely loud when we start up Firefox, crashes, etc. Mac's look pretty but the reliability and power have not been there for us. It's neat that the iPhone does what it does... but it's hardly practical, in my opinion. Also, the few people I know who have them say it's harder to make a phone call than anything else!

@Trace

Sorry the American Flag annoys you... In case you haven't been to an American baseball game (or other sport), the stadiums all have flags waving in them and they were not put there by game companies. I assure you, the Blue Jays will have a big, and equally annoying to you, Canadian flag with a massive Maple leaf on it. How tacky.

Anyway, this game looks interesting and I'll read a few reviews before a purchase. I'm hesitant of 2K after buying the Xbox 360 version and getting crashes like mad! The fact that they all look just like Mark McGwire before he retired (and BB now!), has me agreeing with Matt B as well! Hehehehe!
