I am from the uk and have been playing disaster since it was released (got my copy on the day). And i have to say im loving it, the reviews are right though its not going to break any woulds but its a good solid change of pace and its fun to play too. I have to say though i think it didnt do well in europe due to advertising i only know about the game as id been following its progress for over a year, but in the uk i saw no adverts and no real press coverage for the game no wonder it didnt do to well in sales.

but when it hits your shores buy it, the best fact is its so cheesy (its the game equivalent of a dodgy 90's action film)

i was rather excitedly looking forward to seeing how this game turned out on the Wii as it had alot of potential and the other console version of it looked soo soo good!

this however by the screen shots isnt impresive at all mind you we have all learned that taking wii games at screen shot level isnt the best idea, its better to see them in full motion as the games look better then!

so untill i see a dedicated full Wii video of the game im not going to totaly make my mind up on this one!

this one is going to keep dividing up people i think.

It all comes down the the reviewers, and although there are a few wii games that deserved highers scores on gamerankings alot of wii games (the lower end ones ports and popcron arcarde games) are all total shovelware or half arse attempts to cash in quickly

this means that the average score does drop smewhat below what you would expect. The wii does have amny really good games (mario galaxy, mario strikers charged, zack and wiki, wii sports, lego star wars, geometory wars, paper mario, batalion wars,metroid, tomb raider anaversary, no more heroes and so on and so on) So for every good decent game we seem to get 4 or 5 rubbish games its unfortunate but that drags the overall score down.

Now dont get me wrong here im not stating if all the shovel ware wasnt taken into consideration the wii woudl be on top of that graph im not im just stating their % woudl be higher for good games. Alot of publishers have struggled bringing games to the wii but they seem to get getting the hang of it now and hopefully this year will herald alot more good games.

I have to say when it got announced i was ready to trash it and through the small amounts of info for it i wasnt to impressed but the new trailor and the showing of its interactivity has blown me away.

this one looks like its going to possibly be another key purchase for most wii owners ill be keeping an eye on this one!

I really dont get how nintendo producing fantastic games on their own system is hampering 3rd party developers.

I mean come on think about it, if nintendo show what the maachine is capable of doing and produce great looking games like mario galaxy, then it shows what the machine can do and how much 3rd party people aint even trying. I mean some 3rd party games ive seen look soo utterly woefull its rediculous its like they just phoned the game in from there bed one morning.

plus as for 3rd party games (the really good ones not selling) ADVERTISE more. I know what games i want to buy because im interested in all this and read up on stuff so i know whats coming out and what is good and whats not. But if they dont advertise how do other folks who wont spend as much time as myself looking online know about the games.

I mean here in the uk i think ive only ever seen 2 3rd party adverts on the tv and im almost positive both were for resident evil. I mean come on show us zack and wiki show us geometory wars. Ive seen an ok ammount of net advertising and some magazine adverts but these are damn damn good games get advertising them so more people knwo about them then they will buy them!

Oh and actually ihave seen more 3rd party adverts but they dont count as they were not wii specific they were for games liek tiger woods/fifa or harry potter which are available on all machines so its an advert for all versions of the game.

damn you all, im in the uk and zack and wiki just came out, but i had my copy on pre-order for about 4/5 months now.

so im paying full price for it just so i can get it right away!!

this game look sooo good cant wait to get it!

how about we all wait and see what the finished version of thatgame loks and more importatnly plays like. if its a heap of dung then you know what no loss there but if its actually quite good then we can anoy them to get a wii version too!

Id love to see the origional on the VC along with so many other games too.

Remeber the odds are stacked againstthem to make a very good game out of this, when looking at alot of thebig named games that have come out recently which havent had the best of reviews.

i keep reading about sustainability and how everyone thinks that nintendo will introduce the Wii 2 soon. Now remeber these people are the people that early last year stated that the wii woudl be dead and burried by christmas ermm they were wrong. The same people who dictated that the DS would flop hmmm wrong!

What i cant get round my head is why woudl nintendo bring out the Wii 2 soon? now i cant see the Wii lasting 10 years but i recon its first year and a bit it has done incredibly well but id say it has at least a minimum of about another 5 years in it purely due to its sales so far.

What we all need is good games and when i say good games i dont mean ps2 ports liek we got when the Wii appeared. Just look at what capcom have done and nintendo on the machine their games look feel and play amazingly!

so how come so many others have problems, most notable the games that look like old n64 games whats all that about. If people actualy tried to produce something good and not try to cash in then they would get more sales.

I also feel lack of 3rd party sales is maily due to advertising, the wii has reached a new market...yes! now we who like games know whast good and whats not and whats coming out most of these new people dont. They walk into a shop look at a box read it and go ohh that looks good! In the UK apart from nintendo own brand games (which you get a few adverts for) and a the likes of resident evil and what not i hardly see any advetrisment for games! so come on you lot buck up and spend a little more on advertising to sell your amazing game (im so saddened to see that zack and wiki isnt selling well, my copy has been on order for months now).

ok i think i went off on a tangent rant there so i apologise to everyone!

But hi def, hmm i can see microsoft soon producing a blu-ray player for the xbox too as hd-dvd sales arent that good although in terms of stand alone players (not consoles) hd-dvd out sells blu-ray by a hell of alot its just the ps3 keeps helping to push blu-ray sales!

this could translate well to film as it has a good depth of a story, unlike other game to film franchises that bombed because they dont have a very deep story line.

so when are we going to see max payne the film im still holding out fot that one!
