My point was that Microsoft never lied about backwards compatibility. We knew from the start that it was going to be an ongoing process. But Phil Harrison aka sony's ass wipe, blew a crud load of air up everybodies ass about how the ps3 was 100% BC and even dogged Microsoft for not being 100% compatible.
Also I could not give a rats ass about time and effort being put into emulation. Especialy not when i could have had 98% BC and waited for the other 2%. Now we have to suffer even more waiting and you think that its some kind of upgrade!!! WTF
33. all things must come to an end, look what happend to nintendo.
Also microsoft is a competitor of the unstoppable kind no matter what happens this generation and the next and so on, how can sony possibley compete in the long run, the truth is they cant unless they some how stop losing market share like they have been doing ever so slowly the last couple of years or somehow gain even more share and then keep that share untill microsoft exit the gaming market which will be at the end of time. the gaming market is far to lucrative and expansive for m$ to even envision leaving.
sony has got a tough fight on its hands, this gen and the next no matter what happens
at 28. im not gona blame them for that, all corperations do lie it would be unnatural for them not to, like a dog that doesnt poop when its outside. but admittedly they are in the big leagues when it comes to lying
more space is a great thing broseph but its all about the need, i have outlined in 21. that space issues can be easily resolved, and if sony are trying to say that the ps3 isnt for movies then they are blatently lying or the people working in their tech department arent very smart. unless including all localisations saves money ??
he fails to mention that games using almost 25 gigs include loads of the localisations, so basically this = shit. just look at the pc even the hugest pc games use only one dvd, its all about the compression and its all about how well devs can program and use space effectively. obviously ps3 devs atm arent worrying too much about clearing up bad programming due to the abundance of space, this is bad practice but ultimately makes no difference and can decrease developement time, but still a bad habit. ask anyone with a little knowledge about creating games and how much space they use and they will agree. also dont forget those procedurally generated games popping up over the internet i think one was at about 70kb and replaced the need for over 500mb!! disk space argument is moot because if space was that scarce for say gamecube or 360 then the devs would just use another dvd which would still be cheaper than 1 blu ray disk anyway
Logitech snaps up Ultimate Ears, chasing this "portable audio" market we've heard so much about
Aug 14th 2008 1:31PM (Engadget)I have tried both the triple fi and Shures se530 and the Shures are slightly better for sound quality and both the high end and the low end.
Ofcorse at the price bracket of these products the difference is barely noticeable.
Also the Shures are insaneley expensive.
Logitech has an excellent reputation for the quality of their speakers lets hope this will extend to their future earbud products.

European PS3 not so backwards compatible
Feb 23rd 2007 3:53PM (Joystiq)So to cut through the bullshit for the new people to these comments.
Euro ps3 = cut down :(
Euro ps3 price = still huge ie... no reductions in price even though we are paying more for even less
I did a currency conversion where talking about 880.00 USD :-o
Did the sony camp try to own the xbots due to limited backwards compatibility = True
Now look who the jokes on.
Where sony always going to switch to emulation? = probably.
Do europeans have the chance to become an early adopter and get the backwards compatibility chips? = False
Should sony have waited until after global launch to cut down their system = HELL YEAH!!!
Does this show confidence in their product = HELL NO!!!
Did european early adopters know that there system was going to be cut down before they pre-ordered ? = HELL NO!!!
I am fed up with this crap from sony = True
Is my pre-order finally cancelled after being screwed over one to many times being a european myself?? = A WORLD OF YES!!!!
