Skate 2 interview talks about keeping skateboarding games realistic

Aug 5th 2008 9:17PM (Joystiq Playstation)
They're fixing framerate AND improving visuals. Skate was awesome, except for framerate, which wasn't bad, but online sucked. Now if only they would make it with a campaign mode...

Optional 8-bit glitches to reappear in MegaMan 9

Aug 4th 2008 8:29PM (Joystiq Playstation)
You would want it on because that's the way it was in the original. I'm glad they included this, I think it's awesome that they can represent to that level.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue update brings GTTV content drop

Jul 30th 2008 8:38PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Car damage won't appear in Prologue and real racers don't care, for now. The best update would be ability to race against a friend or host races. Glad to see the online updates, because it seriously needed it.

Midnight Club: LA trailer: in the daylight, no traffic

This graphics give a better sense of a real city than Burnout, which used ps2-style wide-angle lenses to save on processing time, compressing the height of buildings. Forget Little Big P, I'm most amped about this if it's anything like MC III DUB.

Soulcalibur IV hands-on: The first few hours

Not adding rumble, for a console game, is dumble. Yes, the arcade sticks don't rumble and they shouldn't. But for those without them, they want the option of rumble. I personally don't but the comments show me that exclusion was a mistake.

Couldn't go to E3? No problem, Ted Price goes in-depth with Resistance 2

Jul 24th 2008 9:46PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Resistance 1 was so balanced and perfect, especially for someone who had never played FPS before. I finished it on easy. The game was challenging at times but the controls were awesome and the story was great. Want more.

Ferrari Challenge will also get Trophy support

Jul 24th 2008 9:13PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Is this available in the states? I would buy it, but have heard nothing of it. I also notice the soft graphics look a lot like Forza 2, but that doesn't put me off. Bring it to the US, I'll buy it.

American PSN update for July 24th

Jul 24th 2008 8:53PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Yes, Tim, the problem is rampant on here and has been for months. No one knows for certain why (none of the readership, anyway).

The heartwarming tale of a child's brand switch to PlayStation 3

Jul 23rd 2008 10:00PM (Joystiq Playstation)
That was really funny, man. And you have support, the people in the comments always talk about Halo and Gears of War. Those are like the most important things on x360. But with ps3 there is a bigger range of favorite games, even with less overall.

The heartwarming tale of a child's brand switch to PlayStation 3

Perhaps you could have been more humble, thus allowing him to get a ps3 and share the experience. The thing is, he's losing face by coming over to your side. When you're respectful of that, there's balance. Now you've lost face.
