That AD was awesome. At least it's memorable in a good way which is what ads should be.

PlayStation 3 launches March 23 in Europe, £425

I definiteyl getting a PS3 because all the games i like are coming out exclusively for it, MGS, Tekken, Final Fantasy. I probably will also get a PSP once crisis core comes out aswell and i bought a DS to play ff3 remake aswell. I suppose whichever console you choose it doesn't matter so long as you enjoy the games, I know because although i bought and enjoy ff3, nothing else interests me on the DS.

Top 10 annoying things about next-gen consoles

Oct 11th 2006 8:19AM (Joystiq)
The most annoying thing i find is as quoted from www.computerandvideogames.com

" Finishing off with its almost-dead GameCube, Nintendo decided that the GameCube version of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will only be sold on Nintendo's online store, perhaps looking to avoid confusion at retail."

You wait ages for a game only to find out you cant play it as now at the last minute they've decided you need to buy their new hardware to play it just for the sake of it, altough it runs perfectly find on the old hardware.

My favourite game is Kameo, after helping test it for 3 mnths at RARE I became attached to it, it was like my baby. I would go every day and play with it and slowly watch it grow. I remember feeling all fuzzy inside and very proud when seeing my 'baby' all grown up and ready to leave me. Oh I miss you Kameo please come back and visit me sometime.

Japanese hardware sales, 3 July - 9 July: paging Rod Serling

@26.

The PS3 which was reported to slow down to 3.16fps and suffer a supposed BSOD was a development unit and not a final production unit. Having experience with a development XBOX360 unit I can tell you it really likes BSOD and slow down too. A bit too much really, but then all systems crash some time or another.

360 to Wii: Anything you can do, I can do better

May 18th 2006 6:38AM (Joystiq)
I think the main disadvantage of the camera on both the eye toy and the new xbox360 camera is that they are light sensitive so if the lighting isn't good then you will get bad feedback whereas with the wiimote i don't think you would have those problems. So with the wiimote you could theoretically play in the dark with the lights off and you can't do that with the eytoy or the xbox360 camera.

Also of note is that the cameras can't differentiate between you the person who's playing the game and your brother/sister who might be walking past in the background so you might be playing and them walking past might have ruined your game whereas with the wiimote you don't have that problem at all.

Hands on with the Xbox 360 HD DVD drive

Gran Turismo 5 was confirmed to run at 1080p at the conference. They explicitly said it was using GT4 assets and was essentially a HD version of GT4.
You yourself say that that you believe that the MGS4 shown on PS3 was pre-rendered and then go on to say that it would also be possible on XBOX360. If indeed it was pre-rendered then your average video player could display those graphics, unless you were later implying that they were real and that the XBOX360 could do that level of graphics. (which I think it can).
