Test Drive Unlimited 2's 'Casino' DLC trailer is for the lucky ones
Nov 21st 2010 7:31PM (Joystiq)I have never understood this. Do you complain when you go to buy a car, and the heated mirrors are an extra charge? Why didn't they just include them with the car for no extra charge, right?
Granted we are talking about a non-physical product here, but the same concept applies. Each bit of content developed costs more money. The only question is whether you feel the content is worth the price. Is the game worth $60 without this content or not? It doesn't matter if they developed the DLC before the game shipped or two years later, it still had to be developed either way. You can choose to buy the DLC or not.
The $60 game is a set price, no game disc goes above that. The first TDU was quite ambitious and had a ton of content, and I don't expect any less from TDU2. If you don't feel the game has enough content already without this extra casino content, fine. But don't think you should just be entitled to any additional content for a game on principle. What about if that content was never developed in the first place? Then suddenly you are ok with the amount of content offered on the game disc? That makes no sense whatsoever.
Stay for the entire XBLA Block Party and receive parting gifts
Feb 23rd 2010 12:00PM (Joystiq)I really don't know how anyone could call PD slow. And "running through molasses". You have to be joking. It is quite frenetic. Maybe you just haven't mastered the art of strafe-running.
Also, PD remake at $10 is the best deal in video games ever, even without this deal. I bet if Goldeneye was released it would cost at least $15, and probably $20 to cover the license BS. Yet Perfect Dark is the better game, improved in every way, and now even enhanced with online play and Goldeneye weapons in multiplayer. *drool*

Dec 11th 2008 12:56PM (Joystiq Xbox)In the last one if you tilted your head 90 degrees to the right you could read "KI3" on one of the stockings.
On this picture tilt your head the same way and look below the sled slightly to the side. You can just barely make out the 'K' and then you can clearly see the 'I3' following it.
KI3 = Killer Instinct 3
Fable 2 patch detailed, removes child assassinations
Dec 3rd 2008 3:55PM (Joystiq Xbox)So therefore killing your child is not suggested or encouraged, but players are free to do it on their own motivation.
Sounds fine to me. Also, nice to see they have fixed all those bugs and so quickly. I personally never encountered any of them, but now hopefully more people can enjoy this great game. I had fun the entire time to 100% the game. Not often that that happens. Can't wait to crack open the DLC.
Rare promises to 'surprise' with future projects
Nov 17th 2008 7:08PM (Joystiq Xbox)Perfect Dark is superior to Goldeneye in so many ways.
Goldeneye was great back in the day playing with friends. Then I remember at one point we tried out Perfect Dark. We never played Goldeneye ever again after that. We still play Perfect Dark once in a while. The only thing that hampers it is the framerate and blurry textures expanded onto a HDTV. Both of which could be fixed for a XBLA remake.
Rare promises to 'surprise' with future projects
Nov 17th 2008 1:37PM (Joystiq Xbox)I would advise people to not be turned off by lukewarm reviews on this game, you might LOVE it. Oh and with the demo, you can't do hardly anything, there are so many things and parts that aren't in the demo, it feels like a whole different game.
Also, the original Banjo-Kazooie on XBLA is pure greatness. The updated graphics look great and this game doesn't feel outdated. I also like the Stop N Swop feature. I already scored some sweet Fuzzy Dice in Nuts and Bolts thanks to that.
Honestly, right now, it seems like digging up the Banjo Kazooie franchise is the smartest thing Rare could have done. I already can't wait for Banjo-Tooie.
Now I really wish they would remake Perfect Dark like they have Banjo Kazooie, that would be the ultimate.
