Portal: Still Alive to bend space on the XBLA this Wednesday [update]
Oct 16th 2008 11:45PM (Joystiq Xbox)This is not a rip-off. The PC version of Portal costs $20. So you are getting more for less, math is fun.

Fable 2 CE now less collectible and less expensive
Oct 1st 2008 4:14PM (Joystiq Xbox)Well I guess it might be neat having a hobbe. But I'm sure if you want one there will be places you can order hobbes from, no doubt about that.
Castle Crashers remains top played XBLA title
Sep 17th 2008 4:15PM (Joystiq Xbox)Not only that, but CC and Braid are at least as good (better in my opinion) than the previous 1200 point games.
Games have been releasing at 800 points lately, still seems like that's the standard. I don't see as many straight retro-game ports coming onto the service that everyone complained about. Game quality in general seems to be ever increasing. A quick average of Metacritic scores by month proves that theory.
Am I the only one that doesn't see a problem with what is happening on XBLA in regards to game quality and pricing? A lot of the naysayers first complained of all the XBLA titles being crap, but now when amazing titles are released at a piddly $5 premium, suddenly that's no good either. I suppose they want the best games but at the cheapest price, well that isn't how the world works. And I bet some of you complain about XBLA while throwing down $60 on crap like Force Unleashed. You could have bought CC, Braid, Puzzle Quest, Small Arms, Marble Blast Ultra, and Geo Wars 2; for that same price.

Sep 5th 2008 11:42PM (Joystiq Xbox)PAX 08: Castle Crashers patch to release ASAP
Aug 31st 2008 10:10AM (Joystiq Xbox)1. Go to Xbox Live game
2. Select the default CC adventure mode
3. Select "Create Match"
4. Scroll down and confirm to Create the Match
5. Toggle Ready
6. Back all the way out to the main menu
Then all your stuff is back. Takes about 10 seconds or less when you know what to do. I personally have to do it every time I load up the game. I guess for some people it only happens sometimes and others never.

XBLM generates $240 million in revenue
Aug 6th 2008 9:19PM (Joystiq Xbox)XBLA gets overlooked way too often. There are a bunch of great games that are also very cheap. Yet the retail games still bring in 100 times the revenue. There are probably 20 retail games that have sold over a million on 360, but only a couple that have done the same on XBLA. Aegis Wing should be the #1 selling xbox 360 game since it's free.
Maybe the new Xbox experience will encourage more people to get into the whole digital content thing.
