I've been following this at the Sonic Retro forums, and it's got a pretty cool story with a pretty lame ending.

-The game was found on an XDK
-It was a pitch demo created by Vision Scape Interactive for Sega
-The CEO was contacted and replied with the following:

"Thanks for the forward… yes, we created this as a pitch so we could create a full game for Sega. At the time, we had just completed the cinematics for Sonic Heroes and were also in development on a few skate board games (we took advantage of using our code and the Sega assets as a jump-point, but it was merely for providing concept and playability)… we provided the demo on our dime and pitched it to Sega. They were a bit freaked out when we pitched it and the Japanese thought it was a “finished” game. They stopped talking to our agent and a year plus later, came out with Riders.

Don't know who got their hands on our dev kit… might be from the recycling center we brought them to recently.

The game did end up coming out, and it's even available on Amazon! But it's called "Tech Deck Bare Knuckle Grind"

It's sadly the same story as the "Halo DS" game that was created as a pitch from the Goldeneye Rogue Agent demo.

In all honesty, this is probably a classification for the new arcade boards where it's two on one machine instead of two cabinets system linked together for multiplayer.

Considering both Jill and Shuma Gorath are both on the disk, as well as the Shadow Mode dlc, it's a real shitty move for Capcom to charge for them again.

I haven't run across content for the DLC costumes on the disk yet, but It wouldn't surprise me to find it.

River City Ransom. I know we've got EX and Scott Pilgrim, but I still want a new one. Partner up with Suda 51 and make the most stylish RCR game of all time ever.
