You will not be able to us the Gamecube controller for Rev games. It's as simple as that.
However, Nintendo did say at last years E3 that they would release a shell for conventional type games, but like I said that was merely damage control as it would be going against what the Rev stands for and placing itself in direct competition with Sony and Microsoft.
