Oct 17th 2007 6:06PM (Joystiq)Since I'm a journalist in the videogame industry, oftentimes developers will shed some confidential light on a game in the works, but request you not speak of it, until an official press release. This was the case with both Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Street Fighter IV (as well as other games, but that's besides the point).
There is still a lot for me to learn about this game, but I'm very happy that it's now out in the open.

Oct 17th 2007 5:24PM (Joystiq)Now we need to find out the extra details, like, which classic characters are returning to the game aside from Ryu and Ken, what's the music like, will the game come out on Wii, which is the #1 best selling next-gen console, world wide, if there are multiple versions, will they differ at all from Wii to Xbox 360 to PS3, etc. There's a lot more to find out, but this is a brilliant way to start shaking things up.
And on a slightly different note, but still fighting game related, will Capcom have any part in Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Brawl? How cool would it be if Mega Man or Ryu/Ken was playabe in that game? Sega has Sonic, Konami has Solid Snake, and Capcom, my personal favorite 3rd party company, should also have some representation.

Aug 23rd 2007 3:40PM (Joystiq)Seriously, with DS and Wii being the nonstop juggernauts that they are, Xbox 360 having huge titles like Halo 3 and Bioshock, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Guitar Hero III, Madden NFL 2008, Rock Band, and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass all debuting, I think this will be the biggest year ever in the history of our videogame industry.
I'm excited.

Sorry, I hope it's not considered spamming, but I think the shot is kinda cool (with the sky looking like the waterfall in the painting).
