ESPN 3D officially launches with FIFA World Cup coverage: live from Bristol

@pingu324

And what do you think people said when they saw a group of people watching a TV for the first time? "Look at the weirdos just staring at a box for hours!"

Technology changes. Get used to it.

BP damage control extends to purchasing search terms like 'oil spill' on Google, Yahoo

Wrong. The environmental act states that the company is responsible for paying to clean up the entire spill and on top of that can be charged up to $75 million in damages. It's also very possible that Congress will re-write the law to raise the cap and apply it to this current spill.

Lips: Number One Hits shouts its way to retail this October

I'm almost positive this retail disc will work the same way Rock Band works. It sounds like you'll be able to export these songs (or export the original disc songs) and only have to use one disc for everything.

Toys "R" Us PS3/Wii pre-orders Sunday

Oct 26th 2006 6:27PM (Joystiq)
2 of the 3 TRUs in Austin, Texas are only offering the bundle option ($1000+). The other one isn't 100% sure if they'll just be the consoles or bundles, so I'm gonna call back tomorrow. Either way, they're only getting 5 of the $599 systems.

One of the TRUs offering the bundles is only getting 3. Damn...

Another TRU I called said they would have PS3s for preorder but ONLY in bundles. The guy I spoke to said that the bundles are all priced over $1000. Then he told me "but you'll be saving money." Ya... but that's not the point, buddy.

Toys "R" Us PS3/Wii pre-orders Sunday

Aw crap... I just called the closest TRU and the guy said they have 5 "large" PS3s, 1 "small" PS3 and 15 Wiis. This should be interesting.

U.S. Nintendo presser somewhat-liveblogging [update 8]

Sep 14th 2006 6:54PM (Joystiq)
The cost of the system wasn't ever going to be a huge factor for me. $250 isn't too bad, and I might wait a little while to pick up a second control since I'll be busy playing 1-player games (Zelda, Red Steel).

I've seen a couple people mention this, but what I have the biggest problem with is the lack of choice in color. Okay, so it might sound funny to be complaining about what color my Wii is, but when I'm spending $250 I'd at least like a choice. I bought a black GCN and I was really hoping for a black Wii. I almost feel like I should wait, but how long am I willing to wait and should I even bother? Seeing as how it's still two months away, do you think they might reconsider the color choice? I'm just wondering how many people are thinking about this topic instead of worrying about cost.

Bad Dudes and other bad game titles

But I love BASE WARS for the NES!!

And I'm not quite sure why "Jet Force Gemini" is considered a bad name.
