The negativity was only a small fraction of the players. Overall, the majority of players enjoyed the heck out of that game and it shows when you get online and find servers still filled with players--and I didn't even think the multiplayer was the best part of the game.

The Ratchet & Clank FUTURE series (i.e. the PS3 versions) are the only ones you need to play to follow along the story. But I don't think you even need those.

I have every Ratchet & Clank title to date and I enjoy seeing the Easter eggs and other small tidbits from the previous games (like the plumber and the big one being the return of a villian from the PS2 versions) but all of that just makes the game more enjoyable; not necessarily impossible to follow.


I'd say just get A Crack in Time because it has the new exploration and improved weapon upgrade system.
