ya have fun buying a piece of shit beta hardware every 6 months. I'll be playing MSG4 and Bioshock (the non beta edition). The fact that Xbox 360 fanboys get fed spoonfuls of shit by M$ and beta test their hardware that went through almost zero QA process. The issue is that the current programming staff there is confounded by the PS3's architecture. They don't have the "chops" to code the game for the ps3. So like valve, they are shying away from it. These are the developers that will be left behind in the next generation. Multithread coding is not going away, its time for the marginal coders to leanr or get out of the industry. Thats why guys like Gabe "I can't stop eating cheeseburgers" Newell is crying about how he hates the PS3 architecture so bad. Hes trying to hold on to traditional programming standards and cannot cope with the future.

I live here in Austin and know some people in the game industry circles. From the hints that have been dropped , It's definitely a Star Wars MMO. They are going to hopefully kill SW Galaxies (thank god) and make the game the way it shouldve been made.

I am still waiting for the Lair demo to come out on the PS network. I will decide for myself whether the game is good or not. I cannot help but to note the various gamesites that is giving it a sub par rating. Thats not such a huge deal, people make not so good games everday. What IS a big deal is that this is a critical time for the PS3. With the console wars going so hot and heavy all it takes is a few slip ups and the PS3 goes the way of the dreamcast.


I personally love the PS3. I think its a superior piece of hardware compared to the Xbox 360.I want to see the PS3 succeed. I've got friends that have went through 3 or 4 Xbox360 units but they still love it. WHY? Because the 360 has the best games! Thats what it comes down to. Thus far, the only games I play on my PS3 consistantly is motorstorm and Warhawk.Even with Warhawk, my buddy showed me the COD4 Beta on the 360 and now Warhawk just isn't as cool anymore... I've finished RB6 Vegas, NBA2k7 and a bunch of other titles but I keep waiting for that huge title that will make the PS3 a must have.

My message to Sony is that regardless of what people post on forums and all the fanboy talk going on both sides of the fence, put out some good titles before its too late for the PS3. Corporate support is starting to swing to Microsoft (just look at EA, Moore is running EA now, who do you think hes gonna side with?). From what I understand, Lair is a "first party" title, meaning that YOU, Sony "own" the game and the developers at Factor5 should have had all of your resources at their disposal to make this a blockbuster title. If the issues people are ranting about (spottycontrols, no analog option, horrible frame rate, lackluster gameplay) are true, then this debacle lies directly at your feet Sony. Do the sony customerbase a favor and at least QA your games before you approve them to go out to the masses. Hurry up because god forbid I go out and get an Xbox360 to play Bioshock because I get desperate for some good titles.
