@legips "Battery life is tricky on these phones, and we think we know why: Super AMOLED. After fully charging, we let the phones go all night syncing two email accounts connected to both GSM and WiFi and drained about 30 percent from each; in the morning, we set the screens to stay on (30 minute timeout, actually, the max these phones will allow) at automatic brightness and they were both dead within two hours. We think it's possible for a normal human being to eke through a full day, but perhaps not without consciously remembering to not dally with the screen on and to set brightness as low as possible while still being usable."
This hardly qualifies as a quantitative review of the battery. How long is all night? Did the phones drain in 2 hours w/ 30minutes of screen on time? I mean did you read the review? How could you have read it and gotten a good idea of how the battery is?
@cdf74dc9 Actually, the 4g and camera have been fixed, and the fps fix is fully working. Its still a hack that involves messing with the LCD but its definitely in full working order.
"In other words the game with the most ads in Famitsu is the game with the highest score. This is known by anyone who isn't clueless."
but, Famitsu's scores ARE a pretty good judge of how a game will do... so you're saying that people buy games because the publisher paid Famitsu off to rate it higher? So i could make an ass terrible game, pay off Famitsu and it would do great? You, sir, are an idiot.
I would just like to say that I set my Wii up at IBM yesterday, and I now have Indian Contractors asking me about the system...
I'm having a bitch of a time explaining it to them...
Anyone who is having problems with Wii is way too anal. The more "hardcore" (god I hate that word) a person gets, the more anal his expectations are. Some people need to unwind a bit.
Sure, you can play Wii sports with simple flicks of ur wrist. Hell, you'd probably do better. But unless you lack an imagination or the entire right side of your brain, you should be able to see how making exaggerated movements makes the game THAT much more fun. Its not about dumbing things down, its about making the game accessible.
Get rid of that mask of skepticism you feel you have to put on every time a video game comes out. Fun should never be nitpicked to the point where you stop having it.
