Ha, I'm not entirely sure about this. One of the guys from the ShopSavvy devs has had an iPad since the week following the announcement, and he's never mentioned these draconian NDAs. Standard hush-hush stuff follows, of course, but nothing quite this ridiculous. It's a consumer product, not proof of extra-terrestrial existence.

Precisely. If I could get an iPhone with a 5" screen, I'd not take a second glance at the iPad. I don't necessarily need 10" if that's going to be the bulk of what differentiates the product from its venerable predecessors.

I really, really don't see how it could be an issue of poor coverage (from T-Mobile's end) when so many of the initial reports contained anecdotal evidence of using other, 3G capable handsets on the same network and not being able to duplicate the N1's shortcomings. Far be it from me to suggest that it isn't possible that T-Mobile itself is to blame for this, but I'm skeptical.

It's been entirely too long since I've broken a C-C-C-C-Combo.

@presstini64: Sadly, this is always the case. I'm thinking about taking a tech news break until next Wednesday just to avoid the insane lead-up.

Anything along the lines of an elongated iPhone with an appropriately distilled interface would be a total fail for me.

I certainly agree that it'll be nice to have options here. I'm looking forward to learning more about the Apple Tablet just as much as the next gadget freak, but I'm already dreading the standard Apple Tax. Bleh.

Still, the OS is key here. Attempting to retrofit an OS intended for anything other than the unique demands of a tablet simply will not do. Asus would be wise to take this in consideration.

We're talking about Johan (of LSDJ fame) here people. Even an ancillary involvement with this project would give it +1000 in credibility. I'm still very damn excited about this. I hope I get through on the beta and receive an offer to purchase one.

Speaking of Palm, is there any reason to believe that there won't be some sort of emulation similar to what Classic does? It would obviously behoove them to do so. Even if I'm a bit surprised that anyone cares considering how much shit people give the platform.

Either way, I'm still reeling from Eldar's recent assertion that the Nexus One was a hoax... perpetrated by Apple. That worked out well.
