Quarter gobblers are broken on XBLA [update 2]

Dec 31st 2006 9:00AM (Joystiq)
so /this/ is what they mean when they say "Vlad is a troll". As many others have said before this is the most idiotic thing I've ever read. Just becase the game doesn't translate 'tension-wise' well from arcade to console doesn't mean the game is 'broken'. Broken is a beat-em-up where getting hit freezes you for 3 seconds but only gives you 2 seconds of invulnerability. Once again I reiterate but I'm sure 90% of these posts already said: Noone wants to pay quarters at home.

Ambrosia has been a MacDev for ever, like Bungie before Xbox. I've been a fan since the first Escapse Velocity (which was insanely awesome). I look forward to reviving my iBook (dead HD) one day and getting things back to normal and start back up on EVNova.

One hardcore gamer to rule them all

+1 Funny
Number 7. I actually laughed out loud.
+1 Funny
Number 8. for making me laugh out loud two times in a row.

I agree with every one else I think he really /was/ up for five days for whatever reason and that can definitely mess with your head and it's ability to function correctly

A Gamer's Manifesto

way too old to be posting again. You need to update to reflect that this is in no way a "New Gamer's Manifesto" but the same one we all read yesteryear

Today's hottest game video: Christie's pole dance from DOA Xtreme 2

Nov 23rd 2006 11:11AM (Joystiq)
first off the dances between the two girls looked almsot identical. So I assume all the girls dance and I also assume they're all the same dance routine. Not a very exciting one.

As for the boob physics it's not that the boobs are bouncing while the girls aren't moving. It's that the boobs are /continuing/ to bounce after they've stopped. If you shake a water balloon does it not jiggle for a second after you stop? However I would agree there's no reason for them to still be jiggling 3-4 seconds after that's rediculous after all these are supposed to be human girls not waterbags.

you're darn right we'll clip those UPCs. I did that for my free King Kong T-Shirt from AppleJacks.

Guitar Hero makes cameo in Veronica Mars

What no mention of the Battlestar Galatical references this season as well. BSG and it's... how did they put it, "profanity of the future". Now that ladies and gentleman is a phrase which when you say/hear it out loud is about twice as dorky as when you say it in your head.

#15. To you and all the others who apparantly don't know there will be no season long mystery this time around. Just three or four minor arcs.

VM /is/ a nice show. Personally I dispise Veronica in the first two seasons (like I dispise those cops on L&O who just yell at people and *bam* confession) but everyone else on the show is cool.

Joystiq poll: Do you replay completed games?

Oct 6th 2006 6:02PM (Joystiq)
42. Kirby's Canvas Curse is in my DS alot too. The control scheme is too addictive.

I know a girl at work who is starting to love my DS. She's a pink lover so as soon as I told here there was going to be a pink DS she nearly drooled on herself. She's excited about what I've told her of Animal Crossing, she is a decent hand at Meteos and Zoo Keeper, she loves WarioWare, but Yoshi Touch n Go and Kirby Curse are too confusing for her. I love Kirby I think it's the greatest control system ever. It's simple, elegant and fun, and yet she thinks its too complicated

Joystiq poll: Do you replay completed games?

Oct 6th 2006 5:47PM (Joystiq)
bah. I totally /want/ to replay my games but I'm such a slow gamer I have 5 games still shrink wrapped. Of course three of them I just bought last week (DJVendetta, PoP:WW, SC:Pandora), but I've had Sonic Adventure 2 and Metroid Prime 2 for quite a while and Haven't gotten around to opening them. I'm looking at my list now and the only games I've even completed are RE, and Viewtiful Joe, and I did play VJ about 4 times. I'm working up to perfection. I'm still working thru (Baten Kaitos, Tales of Symphonia, Ikaruga, Eternal Darkness, and Custom Robo) that's a lot of hours of gaming and on top of that every few days I feel bad for my animal crossing town and my Brain Age score. Then I can start my other games (Killer 7, Geist, RE4) and THEN I can open up those sealed games. Plus I gotta train on SSB and SCII. Then there are collections to unlock (Zelda collection, Sonic Collection, Sonic Gems collection, Memgaman Collection)

I'm all for replay, and I definitely replayed when I had fewer game and not enough money and more than enough time. Currently however my replay score is almost down to nil.
