Mar 10th 2009 10:03AM (Politics Daily)1. Nancy Reagan is quite public about the fact that she's pro-choice. Suggesting she's part of the "mainstream ... of the pro-life movement" betrays a level of ignorance that's really profound.
2. Chris Smith is actually fairly well known as a Congressman, primarily because while he's a conservative Catholic on social issues, he's very moderate and a critical swing vote on fiscal issues. He's been in Congress for 28 years representing a lean-Democrat New Jersey district, but winning each time with 60% or more of the vote.
3. The inclusion of Alzheimer's as a disease that could be cured by embryonic stem cell use is 5 years out of date. While stem cells (either adult or embryonic) hold great hope for Parkinson's, Alzheimer's is a different kettle entirely. This is not a political statement - it's just a fact, and one that was a cover story at the time of Ronald Reagan's death despite Nancy's support for the research:

Thanks for your post, Ben. We have changed our syntax to clarify that Nancy Reagan is, in fact, pro-choice.
However, your assertion that scientists have given up on stem cell therapy as a cure for Alzheimer's is simply incorrect. The articles you cite are from 2004. Since that time, many new developments have occurred in this field, as reported in multiple articles. To name a few...

As for Chris Smith's fame or lack thereof, we'll stand by our previous assertion.

Oct 29th 2008 3:23AM (Joystiq)I have a copy of the Platinum Hits XBox edition of Elder Scrolls III that I keep meaning to crack open, but I've never gotten to it. Same with the Greatest Hits - Medal of Honor: Frontline for the PS2. I actually opened Prince of Persia: Warrior Within but I don't think I played it for more than an hour. And with LittleBigPlanet, Fallout 3, and Resistance 2 already purchased or in transit, there's no way I'm breaking them open anytime soon.
Honestly, they're all waiting for a week when I'm sick and can play catchup on the couch.
