Saudi Arabia pleased by RIM's concession, says BlackBerry messaging can stay for now

Last time I checked, Saudi Arabia is not the USA. Don't blame the US for how other countries do business with US companies. Do you expect a full trial if you commit a crime on your trip to China?

Best Buy pegs Droid 2 at $199 with 2-year activation, $599 without (updated)

For all of you complaining about Blur and claiming to "must have" stock Android, have you guys even used it? Seriously, don't whine and complain when you probably haven't even given it the time of day. I just got my Droid X and it's not that much different from stock in a usability way. If you don't like it, disable the Widgets. There. Done. Get over it.

It's times like this that I'm glad companies don't listen to users.

BlackBerry Torch is official, launching August 12th on AT&T for $200

@aluglu

No, you're right. All the comments in news posts about BlackBerry have been generally negative, and it's probably influenced by the tone in which the articles are written in.

The journalists don't seem to mention that the iPhone / iOS interface is getting... how did they put it... "stodgy."

Would you rather tell your friends you own a BlackBerry AT2854729z or a BlackBerry Torch?

BlackBerry email, web and messaging to be banned in UAE due to 'security concerns'

For all of you trying to say the Patriot Act is worse...

At least the US government doesn't ban services and products that don't allow easy access to obtaining data. They may want to snoop, but you are not forced to make it easy for them like these countries want.

Yes, but with unlimited texting plans at decent prices now and threaded text messaging on almost every phone, I don't understand the appeal of BBM. You're limited to only other BB users and I wouldn't buy a phone based off of one program.

I really don't understand why so many teens and young adults want Blackberry phones for non-business use. What's the incentive besides BBM?

Apple keeps antennagate alive with Droid X's 'kill switch' (video)

Apple is really going to alienate themselves if they pick fights with almost every major mobile competitor on the market. I hope they start something with Samsung. Bye bye iPhone 4 A4 chip and display!
