Oh - I just noticed the last time you were there, 2 years ago.

Yeah, that year was HORRIBLE. There were so many people that they overloaded the cooling capacity of the air conditioners so it was just pumping out nerd breath from the vents everywhere. Great if you want to see glistening cosplayer bosoms, bad if you want to breathe... the fire marshall made them impose strict ticket limitations after that fiasco, so the last couple years haven't been nearly as bad.

Err, it does limit the number of tickets sold. Why do you think it's impossible to buy tickets for it now? :)

Personally, I used to buy at Gamestop - but I ONLY ever bought used games, and usually waited until they were on special. Their new prices and their $5 off for a used game until it's been on the shelf for months is ridiculous. But if you wait for the games to get old, it's ok.

I do just about all of my game buying now from Gamefly though. I rent it, and if I like it I use "keep it". I have almost stopped buying games entirely thanks to online rentals... it's a lot cheaper for me and I get to play newer games than I used to get.

That having been said, Blockbuster's used game prices are sometimes not bad. I bought Mercenaries 2 there.

Bleh. Personally, I'm just annoyed that they've never bothered to translate and port more of the Front Mission series. It's not like there aren't enough people who'd play it to pay for the translation costs...

Sure hope the new format is just BS rumor. MS Pro Duo is, to me, close to the perfect size. Get much smaller and the blasted things are gonna get lost easily. I would actually prefer bigger, more like Compact Flash, as it's harder to lose. I mean c'mon, how much real estate is really being lost to that card slot?

I really hope they aren't making the new cards smaller...

This is the case when you're talking about games that are still fairly new. I have a rule that I won't stoop to Gamestop until the games I want are $15 AND there's some kind of promo (buy 2 get 1 free, etc)
