They really knew what they were doing this generation. Until last week I thought the Wii was the biggest overhyped POS, especially considering that I have a 360. But Mario Galaxy has changed that, the game is freaking awsome (my wife made fun of me that I stayed up until 2am playing the Wii as she had never seen me have it on before outside of using it with my son).

Ebay has been stayed for a couple of more moths ; )

Good stuff, even though I have Cars for the Wii, I will definately pick this up as it goes to a great cause and there are some more games I can play with the kids.

it's not looking like a valid argument as so far it looks like Ratched and Clank (which looks awesome) is selling horribly.

Thanks for the info, I was returning after work to order the Dell version, but I think I'll step back for a bit. I really wanted it more for the media hub but as I mentioned I truly believe now that HD-DVD is able to pump out $100-199 players they will win the media war.

gulp, I have like a 4 year old 52" Hitachi rear projection (can't remember the model number but it uses DVI and not HDMI...), I have no clue if it does 720p. The TV itself will automatically upconvert a signal to 1080i.

Will the PS3 stop this? O_o
/wishes firewall at work did not block every damn PS3 site so I could look this up

What is the upscaling issue?!?!? I just got the PS3 as a surpise gift (mentioned above). My TV supports up to 1080i ....why would the game be downgraded?

I have as much affection for a specific console maker as for my toaster. For the features currently I love the 360 and dislike the Wii. Gamewise there are some PS3 exclusives that I would want but until spring 08 I will be using it mostly as a media hub, I currently use ORB and TVeristy on the 360 and was wondering if the PS3 had even more funtionality. I do have a PSP and no zich about how it integrates with the 360...I'll go look that up now : )

Wii60 owner...my wife bought me the PS3 a couple of days ago as a surprise and to make me stop b!tching about getting a HD-DVD player (they are stupid expensive in Canada compared to US). I still have it in the box as : 1 - She bought it from EB games and I would rather Futureshop for the return/pricematching features
2 - I really think HD-DVD will win the war after this weeked.
3 - justify the expense and try to find something it can do (aside from BluRay) that my 360 can't.

This update did not change my mind...Please someone make me open the box by telling me what the PS3 can do media wise that my 360 can't...I'm begging you :P

Seriously between Bioshock, Halo3 and the Orange box my bank account is getting killed. To show I am not playing favorites I picked up Cars for $20 for the Wii for my 3 year old to play (ok....I admit, I hate the stupid Wii and feel I must buy some games to justify my purchase). Bring on Mass Effect!!!
