what i meant to say was why dont they make an epic 2d game for the next-gen consoles i.e. with waayy more levels and fancier graphics. The advance series and Rush (which was good) still feel like spinoffs, not part of the main series.

I totally agree with your point about having a game with just Sonic, Tails and Knuckles.

I'm starting to doubt it as all the impressions i've read complain of the same old faulty camera causing sonic to zoom off ledges to his death. To be honest it's best to pin your hopes on Wildfire.

I wish sonic team would go back to 2D...
