I have data unlimited with AT&T for $15/month.

My contract goes back to Cingular.

Even still, I checked my usage history and I've never gone over 2GB. I use my phone day and night for anything and everything and I never even worry about going over any sort of limit. Perhaps a fresh contract from AT&T today would have drawbacks, but I never pay an extra penny for data usage. I've gone through three phones with this contract and I plan on going through plenty more.

I'm considering the same, I just know it's going to cost me an arm and a leg. When I bought my SONY c905 from AT&T I was pissed that they locked certain features, like the imbedded option to send photos to Facebook, tethering, and wi-fi. The c905 cost $600 unlocked when it came out, i.e. too much for me.

It's only going to be on Verizon? I was very excited until I heard that. Verizon's network is slow and antiquated. It isn't travel or internet friendly. For example, using GPS or playing an online game? Woops! Sorry, you got a phone call.

Plus now they've announced that they're pulling the dirty T-Mobile trick of limiting bandwith for people that THEY FEEL use the internet too much. So no thanks, I'll wait for an AT&T version.

GOD I hope they release this on Wii Ware.

You joystiq readers take things way too seriously and you're way too hung up on yourselves. Half the shit I said in that rant wasn't even true but I threw it in to get funnier responses. I love creating threads like this but I have to get ready for work now. Thanks for the laughs, internet dorks.
