I always look for dark gothic combat games for my Christmas cheer.

Wow - I can't believe it. Hell must be freezing over --- Joystiq has done an article that talks about DLC and Bethesda WITHOUT ONCE MENTIONING HORSE ARMOR!

Gygax was a dick, but Dave was a really nice guy. I got to work with him a couple of times. Amazing how much impact one silly little game has had. Rest in peace, Dave.

Not the first place to buy codes. There were gift cards at retail last year for select XBLA games.

It may be growing in use (though I always divide anything Sony says by at least a factor of 2), but I can't see it selling consoles.

$200K is not peanuts, but it IS cheap for developing a real game. Not sure what you guys think it takes to make a commercial quality project, but even if you pay next to nothing, it adds up. Assume you can make a great game with only one dev, one artist, and outsourced audio (highly unlikely). Assume you only pay everyone including yourself $50K a year. In 12 months, you are at $150K with no other expenses. And you need to pay for audio, software, PCs, test, etc...

And while $200K may sound like a lot by itself, the fact that Blow saw a return from XBLA of well over $1M, that doesn't seem all that bad.

This guy gets quoted a lot and probably makes a ton of money, but have any of his predictions ever actually worked out? Ever?

Or pick it up used a week after it ships. Or better yet, rent it.

The man is scum, but the girl's parents need a good talking to about educating their kid about how to be safe online -- and they need to be paying attention to what is going on. As a parent, it is my responsibility to make sure my kid knows how to behave in all sorts of situations and these days, knowing how to be safe online is a big part of it.

Am I the only one that smells rotting meat all around this franchise? I LOVE the comics and have done since I bought them one at a time when they first came out. But I have SUCH a bad feeling about this.
