Mar 12th 2008 3:41PM (Joystiq Xbox)If you can't try this out on a Mac, it's a breakout type game against other players, where you defend and attack each other's floating platforms, ringed with poppable bubbles. Add a bunch of powerups, character specific special moves, and tons of unlockables and game modes, and you have highly refined game crack. I would say this stands with Super Smash Brothers and Bomberman with its ridiculously awesome, non split screen multiplayer action.
Unfortunately it hasn't been updated for the newest Intel Macs, so for now I'm looking forward to some bubble popping on the Xbox.

Mike, if you'd like some invite codes to give out to TUAW readers, hit me up on AIM under phillryu, and I'd be happy to provide.

The gist of it is that the demo is nothing at all like the final version, and according to him, this is the ultimate Heroes. Sweet :)
New Mario lacks 'newness,' says Infendo
Apr 12th 2006 2:11PM (Joystiq)Or maybe he expected a 3D mario game or something? Leave 3D to a system that can do it well, mainly in terms of control. The Mario 64 port got a lot of points knocked off in most reviews for not so awesome control on the DS. I for one would rather have a really well done, spotless 2D side scrolling Mario platformer on my DS. Leave the next 3D Mario for Revolution. Can't wait till this game is out!
