Resident Evil 'Revelaitons' misprint makes it to retail [Update: Capcom offers statement, replacement]
Feb 3rd 2012 10:11PM (Joystiq)Capcom net sales down 29%, Monster Hunter sales strong (again)
Feb 2nd 2012 10:52AM (Joystiq)and it's not streatfighter that's selling poorly...
Then I wonder what franchise they've invested so much money in for the past nine months on ridiculous spinoff games that they've been trying to make more like call of duty would affect their sales so badly?
Why Final Fantasy XIII just didn't work
Jan 14th 2012 12:24PM (Joystiq)At least before hand, the dungeons were short, and you kept cutting between characters in new scenes so it always had a fast pace to it. But then everything just SLOWS DOWN TO A TRICKLE. and not only are you overwhelmed with all these sidequests to do, but their in this vast Open area where it's easy to overlook one (becuase their just a bunch of lifeless stones).
What WAS way too linear, however, was the Crystarium system, and the equipment upgrades which were complicated as hell, but still just "throw money at this weapon to make it better"

Jan 12th 2012 11:15PM (Joystiq)What motion controls could do for JRPGs
Dec 17th 2011 12:14AM (Joystiq)After the first 2 hours of gameplay, do you know what the Player always ends up doing whenever an encounter pops up...? They ignore all that crap and just mash the A button until the screen goes back to the dungeon and they can get back to playing the game.
You don't "fix" an RPG by focusing on the fighting. You fix an RPG by focusing on the little status bars that go up AFTER the fighting.
Final Fantasy 13 didn't suck because of it's battle system, it sucked because it's level up system unimaginative and nothing but spectacle and it's equipment upgrade system was just broken.
I'd love to see more games with Skyward Sword's innovations, but this is hardly something that will save the JRPG genre. Slapping a clock on a broken air conditioner doesn't fix the air conditioner. it just makes it a really bulky clock.

Dec 6th 2011 1:32PM (Joystiq)PSA: inFamous 2 and Festival of Blood now support PlayStation Move
Nov 3rd 2011 11:33AM (Joystiq)heck, I was expecting a patch for infamous 1 to have move support the day that controller came out.

Resident Evil: Revelations uses the 3DS slide pad just like you'd expect
Oct 13th 2011 2:13PM (Joystiq)It was hard going back to duel analogue on Resident evil 5 after playing 4 on the Wii.
