He's talking about the tobacco sponsorship ban in most countries where F1 races. Hence, tobacco sponsored teams have to disguise the logos on their cars for some of the races. For example, by covering the right letters, Benson and Hedges became "Be on Edge" on the Jordan cars. On the McLaren, "West" was replaced by the driver's name. And on the Ferrari, "Marlboro" was replaced with a barcode.
