I dont think one will be immediately able to gauge the PS3's abilities based on non-exclusive launch titles.
Its all up to the exclusives to show off the maximum power a system can put out. If you gauge how powerful the Xbox 360 was based on its launch titles, one would also think its under-delivering to the expectations it set.
Its sort of been the same with quite a few systems. I was underwhelmed with the PS2 till Metal Gear Solid 2 came out and really showed off what the system was capable of. I was underwhelmed by the Xbox till Halo came out, etc. Give it some time, the titles that show off the Ps3's possibly superior graphics prowess will come out sometime in 2007.
This article is just you trying to further justify your opinion that 'Zelda Falls Flat', a statement quite fairly exxagerated, seeing you are mainly basing it on small little details. If a game 'falls flat' based on the fact that leaves are brown and that signs are not legible, your argument falls flat Vlad.
That means a majority of next gen games will fall flat because they have a more gritty palette choice, which I was made aware of by another Joystiq posters article.

I find that the "last time we'll ever get our hopes up comment" by the article writer is quite pointless. As long as we somehow knew something of the game, we sure as hell all know that this is the best damn adaptation ever made. For more accurate reviews, which is from the viewers themselves, you should rely on IMDB, not rottentomatoes or meta review view by the critics. As well, the reviews chosen were quite dramatic. 0/100? Whoever wrote such a review is completely unprofessional and full of crap, because such a score is impossible in the world of movie reviews, deeming that the movie is worth no merit in any way. Its scored a 7.0 out of 100 with close to 6,000 reviews and 600 written reviews by users on IMDB. Those are the real people you should be listening to and writing about.
Jaemz has got a good point..But I honestly find that this corporate control to keep that 'walmart family' image is nothing but bad news for the industry.
This news doesnt come as too much of a shock though..I mean, they're the guys that banned the phrase 'merry christmas' from their stores, while still deciding to sell religious items to customers.
Its a bit of a letdown to hear that they wont be going with a live head to head feature. This seems reminiscent of the updated Virtua Fighter 4 where the Sega team had recorded data on hundreds of people's VF playing styles and implemented them into the arcade mode for variety in match ups. From beginners to masterclass. But nonetheless, still let down.

Careful with those ancient Zelda screenshots! You'll poke an eye out with images that sharp. [update 1]
