Thankswagging: Holiday prize pack up for grabs
Nov 26th 2008 2:10PM (Joystiq Nintendo)I'm also thankful for my friends.
Monolith reflects on Disaster non-sales, mentions a sequel
Nov 25th 2008 10:20PM (Joystiq Nintendo)Reggie did Disaster and Europe both a great disservice going out of his way to bash the title and then leave it's NA release on the shoulders of UK.
I've played through Disaster (beat it just today) and it's easily one of the best games on Wii, both in fun and graphics. I'm glad I imported and I can't help but feel like it's a huge mistake on NOA's part to not release this great game.
Either way, please Monolith Soft I'll take a sequel, even if I've got to import again.
Nintendo unleashes Wii Menu 3.4, updates ToS and removes save files
Nov 18th 2008 3:58AM (Joystiq Nintendo)Still, I'm terrified to loose GeckoOS. I've just spent a ton of money on Wii imports (READ: Disaster Day of Crisis) and I'll be damned if Nintendo will keep me from playing their own games.
DS Daily: Adventures through time
Nov 16th 2008 2:46AM (Joystiq Nintendo)The price is kind of a moot point, as the cost is usually the same for any DS game. The replay value is something that you appreciate again with time, like your favorite book. Hotel Dusk, for example, is going to be much better the second time through, but it may be another year before I pick it up again.
That being said, I'll admit I'm terribly bias, as Snatcher is in my top 3 games of all time.
WHERE IS SNATCHER DS, KO.. NA... MI?!
Reggie praises Wii Fit longevity at investors' conference
Nov 14th 2008 1:45PM (Joystiq Nintendo)I've got to agree with you Hamster.
For the entire time Nintendo has been in America, it's felt different than other companies in that it's entire focus always seemed to be specifically about the AAA gameplay and top-quality fun of Nintendo's titles.
With the success of the Wii, I feel like Nintendo's focus is derailed and mainly (aside from Galaxy and GC ports) spent on making games easy for any and everyone to play, which I think leaves long time Nintendo players feeling confused, bored, and betrayed.
Hopefully they can find a middle ground at some point.
Fans go nuts at anti-MadWorld campaign
Nov 13th 2008 4:43PM (Joystiq Nintendo)As an adult, I'm able to make my own decisions. Personal opinion garbage like this only belittles and limits my right to make my own decisions.
Is MediaWatchUK going to ban all pornography, violent TV programs, and violent films as well? Or how about all other violent video games for that matter?
MediaWatchUK isn't anyone's parent or guardian, they need to stop trying to fulfill the role.
Nice idea, terrible value: the Multiplayer Controller Set
Nov 12th 2008 7:07PM (Joystiq Nintendo)Not for me, thanks.
Anyway, this package would make perfect sense if it were the cost of the Wiimote and nunchuck with the $10/15 wheel thrown in for free.
But it doesn't.
Ougon no Kizuna's smaller quests
Nov 12th 2008 1:55AM (Joystiq Nintendo)Jalico isn't a very relevant company any longer, I don't know that they're able to do this game any justice in NA.
That being said, Xseed is looking to drop huge 'core' titles on the Wii in the coming year and this would be a VERY welcome addition to their lineup.
After getting the shaft from NOA over so many great import titles, it's an astounding relief to see a company (or companies, including MMV) attempting to provide NA with some seriously creative and impressive Japanese Wii games.
Wii Warm Up: Dead Rising (again)
Nov 9th 2008 3:35PM (Joystiq Nintendo)Do you work at Capcom?! How on earth did you get all this top secret information?!
Anyway, if someone expects it to the same game, they've got no reading comprehension skills.
Capcom has described numerous times that this is essentially RE4 with DR skins. And with that few zombies, that's exactly how it looks.
A sequel, just as samfish said, is completely based on sales. But (as if it needed to actually be said) it won't be the same sequel the HD consoles will get.
Sonic Unleashed trailer is mostly the game we want
Nov 7th 2008 3:03PM (Joystiq Nintendo)I give up. There will always be people who'll buy these new style Sonic games, just as there's always someone to buy the next MegaMan Star Force game. SEGA has very little reason to make a full fledged return to Genesis-style Sonic.
If they ever do, it'll be a MegaMan9-like download title, and probably a one off.
