Entelligence: Will Surface ever surface?

Mar 18th 2010 7:40PM (Engadget)
Actually the surface IS moving forward, just not in the conventional marketplace. For instance, Disney has bought over 100 of these units (they've only received 10 so far). Those 10 are on Display inside inoventions at Disneyland & Epcot, but those remaining 90 are destined to end up somewhere else

Swag Saturday: Soul Calibur / Kingdom Hearts travel pack (DS/PSP)

Last year I was flying home (New York to California with a stop in Chicago). The day I left there was a huge Ice storm. I left my house at 4 AM that morning via taxi, and prayed for my life as he navigated the icy roads passing downed trees and sliding automobiles. Finally I reached the airport, and even though there was no doubt in my mind that the flight would be canceled after going through the icy city streets, it wasn't. I jumped on the plane and flew to Chicago (even got the exit row). When I landed in Chicago it was a monsoon, all flights immediately after my landing were grounded/rerouted. So my flight was cancelled, luckily the flight attendant booked me on the last available seat for the last flight out that day (which happened to be 1st class)! I flew home, happily, to Sunny California after beating Chicago's and New York's weather to find my brother playing Left 4 Dead (he just opened it). I didn't go to bed until 12 the next afternoon: total awake time: 40 hrs! It was probably one of the most fun experiences of my life, which is epic considering that it happened after the flight home.

That's the thing...

Technically the Xbox IS powerful enough... which is why this whole "new hardware for 3D" crap is BS

Roony the prototype moon bot builds houses badly, is brothers with Jason Schwartzman

Apr 6th 2009 4:14PM (Engadget)
1st of all if I put two RCX right next to each other, have one run master and another one run slave, I can reproduce the movements done by the unit

Secondly the gas particle argument was about knocking down houses, not combustion of any type

A robot doing that in an environment such as the moon- where it inst flat and there are obstacles limiting its space, would require sensors, and needs to be complicated

And Id say that at most, if I honestly wanted to do this it would take me a week optimistically, which probably means 2. Overnight was an exaggeration
