I'd love an invite if you have any left. I'm a big fan of the site, btw, I've found a lot of good mac shareware through your feed. Thanks,

Personally, to solve that problem of focusing on a visually oversaturated interface I really like Freeverse's think: http://freeverse.com/apps/app/?id=7013

Not sure how powerful my system is, but it says "TI-82" on the back... and my backup drive is an abacus ;)

DS Daily: do you homebrew?

Jan 12th 2007 1:44PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I am eagerly awaiting the compatibility of SCUMMVM (old LucasArts adventure game emulator, for those new to this) with slot-1 solutions (slot 1 is the DS game slot, slot 2 is the GBA game slot).

I just saw the M3 DS Simply is out now for around $50, and you can get a cheapo 512MB micro SD card for about $15, so you could have a complete homebrew setup for around $65 total that is cross platform compatible, doesn't stick out of your DS lite and has not risk of wrecking your DS firmware (bricking). Cool Beans!

Now everybody go over to the SCUMMVM forum and donate a couple bucks to agentq so we can have sweet sweet Monkey Island on the DS with touch screen compatibility :)

Hands on with WoW: The Burning Crusade

hmmm, from the drawings of the blood elves, it's looking like classes are warrior, mage, warlock and hunter, I'd imagine they'll have priest as well, to round out the "magic race" thing, but I could be wrong

Thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster for that! According to http://celestialheavens.com , they're switching to SecuROM, with which I've never had any serious problems, huzzah!

The Great Schism: Eastern vs. Western gaming markets [Update]

Honestly, I think this is absolutely a taste issue and not a Japanocentric issue. What we have to do is get over some style (and quality) issues in our RPGs. Right now it's mostly medieval Europe versus Anime-land. Try something different. Last time I checked, Asia was pretty big on WoW, and correct me if I'm wrong, but Vivendi and Blizzard are both "western" companies (France and America, respectively). They just figured out how to cut the Gordian knot by doing their own thing...
