I haven't listened yet, but it sounds from other comments like the Joystiq Podcast is going to become more serious and professional in tone.

This is appropriate, I feel. The editors and staff have, for as long as I remember, taken their journalistic integrity very seriously and made no bones about the importance of professionalism...

...then you listend to the Podcast and hear them talking about boners.

If you want your site and its employees to be taken seriously, you have to cultivate the image of a serious news organization. And the podcasts corrupt that image. Sounds like the site's new bosses called Chris and the others on this and are demanding that Joystiq walks the walk.

Sucks to be a grown-up.
