So they're suing him for releasing the keys because they think it will lead to piracy. Sure that is one outcome. But making an argument like that is like saying "you better outlaw guns because they lead to murder". There are plenty of other applications that this can benefit other than piracy. It comes down to whether GeoHotz wanted to promote piracy, which it sounds like he didn't. Granted, not everyone shares that opinion. But he's the one on trial here.

What was the point of putting a Joy Ride demo on the XBOX Live Marketplace? The Kinect Adventures disc already has demos for Joy Ride, Your Shape Fitness, and Dance Central.

@evilspoons Yes, they normally do. But this is Gamestop and they'll probably just get a slap on the wrist. For the record, the game is street dated for the 4th, so they would be breaking street on it.
