Epic Mickey preview: Small mouse, big decisions

Sep 7th 2010 2:39PM (Joystiq)And, to be fair, there ARE a lot of PC-only games that never come out on consoles that console players miss out on as well.
This Wednesday: The epic battle of Plants vs. Zombies on XBLA ... plus 'Dance! It's Your Stage'

Sep 7th 2010 2:19PM (Joystiq)Whoa, what are these "rice-bowl" restaurants?! Are they like generic Asian restaurants that serve a terrible amalgamation of every Asian dish on the planet? Are they the ultimate Asian fusion? o_o
And I think you like to play devil's advocate and start arguments with people you agree with to get a rise out of them. ;) Naughty boy.

Sep 7th 2010 2:13PM (Joystiq)I'm not arguing for an end to all console exclusives (I am undecided about my stance on this actually), just arguing that this game in particular would benefit from being released on multiple platforms, and consumers in turn would benefit.

Sep 7th 2010 1:58PM (Joystiq)Haha, by offering your argument, you just proved my point that it IS open for debate. My statement wasn't implying that the Wii is definitely not a hardcore game system or definitely is a hardcore system, I was merely saying that whether you consider is capable of being a hardcore system is entirely open to discussion (i.e. open to debate, your opinion, etc.)
"Hardcoreness" is an entirely subjective term, so whether you consider the Wii capable of "hardcoreness" is entirely subjective as well and thus not fact, but open to preference/opinion/discussion.
This is just getting silly.

Sep 7th 2010 1:33PM (Joystiq)That's true about the game being a "showcase" for the Wii, and I can't argue about how good it is for Wii owners to have good 3rd party game. But why does this have to be an EXCLUSIVE game? What do Wii owners gain by getting an exclusive? Doesn't it just matter that there IS another good game out for the Wii? Sure, in theory, an exclusive should ensure good Wii controls since game development was Wii-centric, but...
I have all three consoles, too, but would rather play an action/adventure game like this mapped with 360/PS3 controls and if given the choice between having it on the Wii or 360/PS3, I would choose the latter for the better graphics. Now, whether one can consider the Wii capable of being a "hardcore game machine" is open for debate, but it is definitely fact that the 360/PS3 are capable of far better graphics.
I'm not a Wii hater, I just am disappointed by certain game exclusivity which does not benefit the consumer.
