Blood Sport: Protection warriors overpowered?
Jan 11th 2010 9:18PM (WoW)Thing is back in the days you recall, people used crowd control etc. Tanks rarely tanked more than 1 or 2 mobs at a time. Now days tanks are expected to tank 4+ mobs at a time. As mentioned if you suddenly have 2 casters in 1 group and want to group them together this silence is so essential.
Totem Talk: Patch 3.3 and shamans, part 2 -- How not to PUG
Dec 17th 2009 9:30PM (WoW)Same with grounding totem, I'll often just pop a grounding down on a large group of casters knowing that one of those casts is going to hit and hurt the tank or even a dps. Doesn't take much to pop a grounding totem then chuck the normal air totem back down after it. So much variety in the shamans spellbook, shame not to utilise them.

Nov 22nd 2009 11:06PM (WoW)One important thing I added to it which is helpful to any spell caster is a big warning with a sounds effect to warn if a target has "spell reflect" up. Simple to setup and very very handy when your about to pound a massive lava burst on a target.
Overall it makes tracking buffs and debuffs on yourself and targets a lot easier as it's often pretty difficult to glance through the tons of buffs that can be active during raids/pvp. Can take a lot of time to set up but totally worth it and I enjoy wow a lot more with it.

Jun 1st 2009 7:43PM (Joystiq)I don't think the Wii has even moved beyond the mini-games/tech demos it originally created, just repackaged them in slightly varying colours.
My dislike fro the wii aside, I agree with most points that yeh it looks rather optimistic and I'm doubtful it'll have any particular impact on gaming as we know it, much like the eyetoy and similar attempts at changing the way we play (except the wii ofcourse).
