Could someone explain to me the attraction of buying music from these DRM merchants (much less renting it) when one could simply buy the CD and rip it? To a far higher bitrate, to lossless codecs, burn copies as much as you want and so on and so on. Plus, you actually get something physical and lasting for your money...
full itunes control via hotkeys, menubar item launch applications (like quicksilver, but better style imo) browse computer from the menubar (almost a windows start menu, but customisable) access to all browser bookmarks from menubar multiple pasteboards 8 hot corners, completely configurable spotlight enhancements internet search via hotkeys
All out of the box, all 100% customisable, and free to boot. I used quicksilver for a good while, then tried Butler and haven't looked back since.
I think it lets you have two cursors, so if you are doing formatting tasks (for example) you can leave one at the controls and use the other for selection etc. then switch between them when needed. This could be very useful if one were using multiple screens to save time moving the cursor over large screen estate
I for one think that DARPA isn't going far enough.
If they were to build, say a walking nuclear equipped battle vehicle, perhaps codenamed Metal Gear, they could launch these things from its nuclear missile launchers. How badass would that be?
The survey was of people 'on the street' right? Now most people have at least heard of sony, nintendo, playstation, game boy. They don't hear game boy evolution, or don't care. It's a game boy, or a playstation, like their kid has.
Hell, i know people who call the psp a 'game boy' and the xbox A 'playstation', emphasis on 'a' in both cases.
Still can't figure out the phantom numbers though...
So this thing uses security problems in 10.4.1 right? So it took these 1337 hackers the best part of a year to crack a minor exploitable hole?
You know, this actually makes me feel pretty good about the general level of security in OS X - Apple patches a problem, and 8 months later, someone writes a 'worm' to take advantage...which still requires rather a lot of user interaction.
