DashboardThemes.com is no more

I thought they had a post about wanting to sell it to some one else... I guess that didn't happen. It would have been cool if someone else could have ran and paid for the server necessary though, it was a really helpful site.

TGS WTF trailer: Rainy Woods

Very little of it struck me as something that would be played similarly to Silent Hill or RE, but I could be wrong about it. Seemed almost more like a detective story or something. Could be interesting, kind of reminded me of Twin Peaks.

New Forza 2 DLC available soon

In terms of sheer amount of stuff (and other things, such as interiors for every car) it definitely is more impressive.

GT5 as a full game (as opposed to the prologue) seems to be pretty far off, though... Maybe by then they'll have more to say about the next Forza or something else, who knows. Not that that's terribly much consolation.

Yeah, I was going to comment on the track stuff they discussed. That is going to be awesome.

GH III soundtrack unlocks three game tracks

Also, I'm not sure what anyone is citing as expensive here... A guess by Xbox360fanboy in case they wanted to charge more for the content? For the soundtrack itself, which has no announced price?

Putting Holes in Happiness could be pretty entertaining, it has a decent guitar solo in it... although I don't know how this cover version will turn out.

Halo 3 leaked online by the thousands

Sep 21st 2007 11:55AM (Joystiq Xbox)
@14 - I'm talking about strictly in terms of game piracy here. Several thousand people trying to download any random game (and not just Halo 3, regardless of how well it will sell overall -- we all know that number is going to increase when it comes out as it is) is pretty damn "rampant". I mean, take this number and multiply it by all the other games out there. It's a lot and probably a lot more than the average person realizes, in addition to the traditional channels of just selling back-ups at stands and seedy stores.

That's what's "rampant" about. Beyond which, I somehow doubt the "I couldn't get it to work!!!" argument is going to hold up in any court if someone was charged with pirating copyrighted material.

Halo 3 leaked online by the thousands

Same with even games that don't get much attention. For awhile I know even Persona 3 had thousands of sharers. It's a lot more rampant than I would have normally thought.

WRUP: let's count edition

Sep 21st 2007 10:45AM (Joystiq Xbox)
I've been playing Blue Dragon, which I feel is quite a bit better than has been let on. It's not doing anything new, but neither are most RPGs in general. The battle system is surprisingly good, particularly as the game advances and things get added to it. Admittedly there's not terribly much in the way of story or character development, but as far as traditional RPGs go it's enjoyable.

Today only, get a 120GB HDD for $139

Just call, they'll tell you what to do. I got a new console AND a new hard drive thanks to two separate issues and I still got them all to work.

They're going to have you delete all your arcade games, then delete your profile (not the items, just the profile). Then they'll have you recover the profile and redownload the games. They worked for me fine at this point.

If they don't work then, they told me the next step would be to set up a Silver account and they will refund the points to that. You can then redownload the games there and they'd apparently be playable by your main account.
