Turtle Beach's Xbox 360 Bluetooth Chat Adapter hands-on (or: One of the best things I saw at E3)

@CaptainProtonX Trust me - you have no idea how much more convenient the wireless is until you use it. Trying to operate a bottle opener while holding a 360 controller is a pain.

Turtle Beach's Xbox 360 Bluetooth Chat Adapter hands-on (or: One of the best things I saw at E3)

@Ravenok They did something with the sets between the original release and when they released the Halo 3 one...it's much improved. No one I play with can tell the difference between when I'm wired or wireless...

Motorstorm didn't exactly invent the offroad, free-wheeling genre...one that comes to me off the top of my head was Powerslide:

Rumor: Motion-sensing 360 peripheral spotted

Watch the video below, and see if it's anything like what Nintendo's doing with the Wii:

Now look who and see who's hired him:

See a connection? If this is what MS is looking at doing, it moves motion gaming from the casual Nintendo style gaming to a much more hardcore usage. Imagine playing the next Ghost Recon, and to look out from behind cover, you actually lean over to see around the cover...or to sneak up behind someone, you actually crouch...

General Electric makes breakthrough in microholographic storage

Exactly...I really expect to see a switch back to cartridge gaming with the cheapness and storage capacity of flash memory. Right now, a 32 GB CF card runs around $80 or so. In 3-4 years, that will drop considerably. Add to it a custom form factor would help prevent piracy, and you've got something pretty close to Blu-Ray capacity with much higher transfer speeds and no moving parts.

Penn & Teller call 'BS!' on video game violence

Not quite...Mythbusters does urban legend type stuff. P&T take on more controversial, social subject matters...here's the episode guide:

Former GTA, Fable 2 and Crackdown devs for Ruffian Games

Jan 21st 2009 9:11AM (Joystiq Xbox)
Crackdown was like crack - I couldn't stop playing it. There are a few things I'd like to see though - more variety in the missions (more than just go here and kill the bad guy), and a return to the more cel-shaded graphic styles from the early videos...

Gears of War 2 Flashback maps hit XBLM for $5

Nope, that about sums it up.

Capps: DLC may be the answer to stop the second hand market

Nov 10th 2008 4:30PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Well, if those people selling it aren't going to use them, they might as well sell it.

I really think Epic got it right with Gears 2. Offering extra incentive for buying new vs. used. The idea in the story, though, I can't support it. That would be like selling cake without icing...
