Hello from Wyoming. I'm not sure why WiMAX is going into Jackson Hole but the town has the wealthiest popluation of any town in the USA by an extreme margin. With a few thousand residents most are millionaires and a few are billionaires. I bet the average net worth in Beverly Hills isn't in the hundreds of millions ;) Oh, and there are three ski resorts in Jackson Hole. There is one on that hill right next to the town. There is also Jackson Hole ski resort that is within minutes and Grand Targhee which is a bit more of a drive. BTW - last time I went to Jackson Hole my hotel room was $69 a night so you can afford to visit and ski.
I take it COD4 works for most people now? I tried it again last night with no luck, Fortress also. Argghhh ... everything else I have online works perfectly.
I don't want a crappy game I want Live to work. Has MSFT said anything about when it will be back to working for the people it is still not working for?
It half ass works which is worse than working. Case in point: a game of Texas Hold em ALWAYS crashes and the end result is you always lose. COD4 games start but disconnect before I can actually play and Team Fortress says I am not even connected to Live. Live does not work anymore and my 360 has become useless. I can't be the only person still unable to play?
TOS or no, Is MSFT really in a position to treat the customers like this? I actually hate my XBox now. I only played online games and it sits there useless collecting my monthly fee for a service that does not work. Are a lot of us still not able to use live?
wow ... geeks in heat. I have to admit "I'd hit that so hard whoever could pull me out would become the King of England" made me LOL. I nominate that for funniest sentence of '08. And now, back to nerds in heat.
I play Texas Hold em more than all other 360 games combined but it is broken now because of live. When Live crashed you lose. I sepnt years earining millions and now it crashed every single game. For the first time I hate my 360 and Live and wish PS3 had better games. Why can't they just fix it? This shows Microsofts (the software giant)incompetance more than anything they have ever done.
I still prefer to think of it as enough jr bacon cheeseburgers to stretch to the moon and back 17 times. But seriously $500,000,000.00 is not chump change. That kind of money should buy insane fast dedicated servers but instead we get peer hosted games. Live was a borderline ripoff that we tolerated when it worked.
If the service is spotty for you than you are having a different experience than most. Since Christmas I was able to log in ONCE. I played Texas Holdem and as soon as the game started I was booted and lost $4000 from my account. I have a pile of new games I'm excited to play and cannot. I paid $60 a piece for the games and pay for the privelage to play them and I cannot because Microsoft is to money grubbing to invest in the Live service to fix it in a timely manner.
