Movies on UMD to receive final curtain call?

Apr 3rd 2006 5:09PM (Joystiq Playstation)
I agree, I think movies should be priced at $8.99 each. Lots of psp owners would pick them up at that price. As it stands now, I haven't bought one UMD movie at current prices, mostly because I purchased the dvd version of the movie, and won't spend another $20 to be able to watch it on the go.

Rockstar's Table Tennis is no joke

Apr 3rd 2006 4:13PM (Joystiq)
I just think that if a company like Rockstar is going to produce and release a game like this, it has to be good. And addictive. Looking forward to trying it out soon. Nice review, Joystiq.

Go South Korea! We need more penetration!

Nintendo Revolution to have SD slot and USB for external drives

Apr 3rd 2006 12:44AM (Engadget)
This is nice news. I think the Rev's unique controller, easy expansion ports, and emulation gaming will definitely make it a very popular console with gamers with a 360 or PS3, and for families who just want a simple next-gen machine for the kids without breaking the bank.

Turbo Grafx Revolution wish list

Apr 2nd 2006 7:40AM (Joystiq)
What? No call for Magical Dinosaur Tour or Sherlock Holmes? :)

I thought Valis II & III were good action/adventure games and should be added. Ys: Book I & II must the original cd soundtrack, it was most excellent. I second The Legendary Axe, great game.

30 years in Apple products: the good, the bad, and the ugly

Apr 1st 2006 8:38PM (Engadget)
Great work to all the writers! A very good list indeed. I still have my SE/30, I've used it as a midi sequencer up until a few years ago. Agreed on the Perfoma, bad design, price, and performance. Apple's had a pretty good run the last few years keeping the bad to a minimum.

Custom painted Animal Crossing DS

Apr 1st 2006 3:01AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Really nice artwork, and excellent paint job. My girlfriend would love one, she's pretty hooked on Animal Crossing. But for $320, I'll let someone else take it. Nice work.

A glimpse into our future...

Really good news that I'll be able to still pick up a GBA in 2010, but that I won't even want it because of the Gizmondo Xtreme!

Samsung Q1 UMPC available for pre-order for $1,400

Mar 31st 2006 10:29PM (Engadget)
I really dig the form factor of the UMPC, I think it is something I would use a lot, especially outside of the home or office. At $1400, I think I'll wait until the second or third generation for prices to drop and features, speed, and usability to improve. Like others have said, $500 is the sweet spot. Hopefully, it's easy to input text, and this can be an easily portable communications and media device, with a high res screen, but without the bulk of a laptop.
