Awarded avatar items are actually separate from achievements. It's up to the title how they want to do it - they could award them at the same time as achievements, award them separately for other criteria, or just give them away at title start like some do with gamer pictures.

In other words, MTV Games/Harmonix got completely hosed on the deal. The music industry hasn't known what "fair" is in a long, long time. I'm assuming that means something like an insanely big up-front payment, plus 95% of any profits that come in. Plus the souls of the children of all the MTV Games and Harmonix employees.

I truly cannot believe that Siouxsie is coming to Rock Band! This is great, great news! Now I can go back to hoping that we can see The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, and other similar stuff appearing in the game some day!

I'm also glad to see more Silversun Pickups coming. After being introduced to them from Lazy Eye on RB2, I find I like them a lot, and having some more from them will be a good thing.

I may buy the other two tracks also, just from excitement at how good next week's tracks are.
