It's not about making sure that everyone feels the same. Obviously people in BMWs are going to have a nicer time than people in Hondas, but that doesn't mean we should regulate everyone to having Hondas.
The government is not there to protect your FEELINGS. If you're mad that motorcyclists get "special privllages" then there's nothing that says you also can't get a motorcycle. That's equallity.
