then do something about it and stop flipping burgers!!!! if your willing to work for it there are jobs out there that will pay you more, but instead your complaining to the readers of engadget and claiming the race card, will it ever end? i hope so for your childrens sake!

as far as robots writing for engadget? it's about time, you guys could use some new writers!

Joystiq asks: What are you thankful for?

sorry for the book:

so today is turkey day, and there is nothing i would like more then to not spend the day at the inlaws house, or so i thought.

this morning started earlier then my morning's usually do as 14 of my friends and myself decided to start an annual tradition of going on a ride thanksgiving day morning. we all met up at 8:00 at the local starbucks and hung out for about 45 mins waiting for all the people that slept in late. we took a route up through the berkely hills to a spot everyone calls "the wall". the wall is basically a memorial spot for riders who are no longer with us, it basically looks over the entire area from berkely oakland all the way out to san francisco.

so as im talkin with friends and being bummed about having to go to the inlaws today I start to go over and and check out the little memorial site's around the wall and start remembering the good time's i had with a bunch of these guys throughout my riding carrer, when all of a sudden I start thinking about a couple of brothers i know who just lost their older brother. davy and ahoria are part of a notorius club named the east bay rats, but the club isnt really notorius in a bad way as there all really good people. well the brothers actually lost their older brother in a tragic moto related accident just a month or two ago.

so i got to thinking how selfish it was to actually think that today with the inlaws was going to suck when the fact is at least im still here to be with my family. it hit home pretty hard and i had to walk away from our group of riders for a few minute's. some of the people being memorialized at the wall were really good friends of mine, they were there during my worst times and my best time's and it kills me to think about what there familys are going through on a day like today without there loved one's.

riding home was a very sobering experiance to say the least, we had already been pulled over for doing triple digit's in a 50 zone and the cop gave us a break and didnt write us up but on the way home i just couldnt bring myself to speed to get home quicker which is pretty hard not to do on a 180 horsepower beast. I took a easy slow pace all the way home.

I guess my point is to be thankful just to be alive, I know alot of us are having hard times right now but things do get better and im sure it will for everyone.

any ways happy holidays to everyone and have a good turkey day
