Dell Thunder spied again, still looking awesome

@BrookLynnsFinest I'm really curious what you are going to be saying about AT&T once Verizon gets the iPhone. *Shakes Head*

@androidfan1 I don't blame Apple's antenna problem on AT & T. I've just had horrible luck with them and anyone I know who uses them. Plus, so far, every Android phone on AT & T's network has been locked so you cannot install apps from outside the marketplace. With that being said, I have my reasons for not liking AT & T very much. :)

Anything AT&T makes me pause a little bit.

Verizon rumors: LTE, Android 3.0 tablets, a Droid Pro, and more

@bravokiloromeo I think the Motorola Q was a great phone. The form factor was awesome and it fit in my hands and pockets perfectly when I owned one. Also, it was VERY durable.

@iWebDroidBerry Yep, same here. I really really like the Droid X but I had a feeling that this November was going to be the right time for an upgrade.

NPD: Android is now top-selling OS in American smartphones

@Hazdaz I keep seeing more and more Android phones every day. I would say (at least in my area) it has surpassed total iPhone ownership for smartphones. But AT&T is rated to be the worst carrier in my area so that may have something to do with it. I see tons of Evo's however and saw about 3 people on their Droid X's the other day right in front of the Apple store. HA!

Anyway, I think it all depends on the area you live in. The iPhones are great but they just can't compete with the sheer numbers of Android phones on the market. This I think is actually a good thing for Apple. They work better serving the niche market. A year ago, you didn't see a single Android phone on the market and I was really tired of seeing anyone and everyone with an iPhone. Now, you look out and you see iPhones, Droids, HTC, Samsungs and soon to be WP7 phones.

I like variety :)

@Ironworker808 Actually no I didn't know that. Very interesting. I'm just saying that model is what turned me away from the iPod revolution from the get go (the early 2000's) however. I do own an iPod Touch and I use it more for certain apps that are not yet available on my Android phone. It works great for what it is but I just never really enjoyed that model.

@Alcibiades I totally agree with all of your points. I think Android needs to get a good subscription based model. That kept me from really buying into to Apples products from the get go. I didn't want to just have to purchase a song I may or may not want to keep. I still use Napster mostly for all my music but am curious to see what happens with WP7.

Another reason why I believe that Apple will continue to remain strong is that many people have some large investments with apps and hardware for their Apple products. Your home stereo, alarm clock and all these other devices with iPod/iPhone inputs that can only work with that device will keep people locked into the Apple environment.

But competition is very good. I can't wait to see where it will all be next year.

@That guy 2
Well first of all the "Droid Does" was Verizon's marketing campaign and not Motorola's. And for your critisicms 1) You are right, it does blow. Needless and I never use it. But other people do seem to like it. 2) Multitasking was a totally valid argument 1 year ago when the Droid first came out and I feel that I can navigate better throughout my droid than on my iPod Touch. 4 buttons to get things done plus your notification bar = pure win imo. 3) Yes, Verizon does rock but I'm curious to see that Sprint is really catching them fast in areas where I thought VZW ruled.

Navigation is awesome and Voice to Text is one of my most used features. I'm just telling you why I use it all the time. I hit that little microphone every time, I'm on the move (which I am almost always) to send out quick email or text responses. Its a huge deal to me. I'm not even saying Android is better or worse. Its just better for me and fits my lifestyle a little more fluidly than iOS does. That is all. I think there are many things that Android cleans iOSes clock on but I also believe that iOS still rocks Android in the app department and the ease of ordering and finding said apps to use. But for my lifestyle I use a lot of built in features that is just simply not included with iOS or I need to pay extra for.

@Dickybell
The point I am trying to make is that all these features are built into the OS for free. I don't need to buy an App to use it and its integrated seamlessly on my phone. I have not ever rooted my phone to use these features, they are just there and the phone does everything and more than I need. Now that jailbreaking is completely legal, I am sure there are going to be great modifications for your phone but I'm just talking stock devices here.

@That guy 2 funny. I was actually thinking of making a switch to the iPhone if it were to come to Verizon. But then after thinking about it I realized that the things I use the most on my phone, the iphone doesn't have. Turn by turn Nav, voice to text, widgets and the sweet google voice integration.

Don't get me wrong, the iphone is really nice. Just not for me. Don't troll, bring up actual points if you like the iPhone better.
